I can't believe this is happening...As some of you may know this has been a crappy year, and have been looking forward to my upcoming trip...Flight leaves in less than 48 hrs, but I don't think we'll be on it. To make a long story short, my father is in the hospital.
I know you have until the day before to cancel and they'll put the points into holding account...DVC is going down for the upgrades again tomorrow, so does that mean I have to cancel by today?
I can't see him being well enough in time, he's got pnuemonia

Just want to wish you good luck and your Dad a quick recovery....my Mom had pnuemonia last Dec...and was in the hospital over Christmas......she's fine now but it took a long time for her to get her strengh back

Perhaps you could wait until the day before to make a decision. You may be able to go for a shorter time by dropping off the first couple of days of your trip. Good luck to you and good health to your dad.

Athenna, I can't give you any advice, but I can agree with you-it certainly does sound like things are crappy with your father in the hospital. Good luck-I'll be praying for you.

The bad news is dad is still in the hospital..The good news is it isn't pnumonia after all, it's some kind of gastro virus...Like a stomach bug from hell

Orignially they thought he could come home today, but they said it might be as late as Friday...They are running tests...However! A good friend of mine that lives around the corner, offered to take over, do anything I/dad needs so I can go to WDW...Is that amazing?
Dad said I've got to go, he's been insisting since yesterday that he'll be fine w/my friend there and not me.
So I cried all morning out of guilt But in doing a lot of talkingw/friends, everyone decided the best thing for me is to get the heck out and go relax on my trip
