Might get to go to DL for ONE Day

I am traveling to California for work at the end of January. I will be able to leave Modesto around 1 p.m. on Friday. I am hoping to make it to Anaheim sometime Friday night, hit up DL on Saturday and fly home Sunday.

Doable??

Doable.

I once flew in one morning, played that day, played until about 5pm the next day, and went home.

And in October I took the 6am train up from San Diego (where I was for another reason), taxied over to DLR, threw my stuff in a locker, played until 5ish, retrieved the stuff and went to the airport.

So your plan sounds downright decadent!

Doable and worth it. I love tacking on single day solo trips to Disneyland when I go visit my brother... they like to go to the parks, but with kids you have to be more flexible, and I can only be flexibile about Disney if I already know I've seen everything I want!

Once I had a flight delay that meant I didn't get into California until 11 a.m. the day AFTER I was supposed to get there (missing out on staying at DLH for the first time... I still never have). It was still worth it just to spend 8 hours at the parks before driving up to my brother's.
