Checking in from Northwest Suburb of Twin Cities, MN! September and October are my favorite months to visit, love the weather and crowds. I did vacation one year in August and it is very humid, similar to our hottest days here in the summer. But I like the humidity more than the dry weather I experienced vacationing in Arizona. I also prefer Florida because the greenery is so like what we love here in the Midwest. The road construction here is unbelievable too! It finally gets warm enough to go somewhere and you can't get there because the roads are all shut down. Might as well get on a plane and head to Disney!

Hi, I am from the Dayton Ohio area, or drab town USA as I call it. My adult daughter and I are planning to return to WDW to celebrate a Disney Christmas in 2016. My husband was in the Air Force so I had the opportunity to live in a couple of different places NJ, Holland and Nebraska before returning to our home of record. (Why we did that, who knows, family I guess?) I will be retiring this December and plan to move to Florida in the next few years, just as soon as I become an empty nester as I am a widow and nothing keeping me here once the a fore mentioned daughter moves out.

Hello! Currently living about 30 minutes east of St Paul, MN, spent 7 years in Milwaukee, WI, and born and raised an hour southwest of Chicago.

I first went to WDW with my family in August 2000, and all I remember is it being HOT and HUMID! I returned in August 2014 with my boyfriend and his family. We spent 1 day at WDW, 3 days on a Bahamian Cruise on the Disney Dream, 2 days at UO, and then BF and I returned to WDW for 3 days. It was again HOT and HUMID! It reached about 115 the hottest day we were there!

BF and I are planning trips for late October to early November 2016 and late January 2017. These trips promise some relief from the lovely Midwestern winters

Hi there! Rochester Hills, MI here, originally from Grand Rapids. My family are Disney fans, though not to the extent I am. My youngest DS is close. I try to go every couple years, either as family or as couple. My DH and I love Food & Wine, and we got married the year F&W started, so we always know how long we've been married

Hi there! Another Minnesotan here. I've only been to WDW once and I'm dying to go back. I've been reminding myself that if I spend my money on a trip now...I'll have to stay in MN longer until I can save enough money to move to Orlando. So, I'm living vicariously though everybody else taking trips. I can't wait until I am in Florida for good. I love Minnesota but from the moment I visited Florida, I knew it was my true home.

I'm proud of the film scene that has grown here. Filmmakers make short films in one part of the year and we have the South Dakota Film Festival in another part of the year.

Two "mature" Wisconsinites here who have been frequenting WDW for many years sans children. Both born, raised and still residing in the southeastern area of the state. Good people come from the Midwest...and it's great to see so many lovers of the Mouse!

I'm from SmallTown, Midwest USA. lol I grew up in a town of less than 800 people. We first went to Dis when I was in grade school and haven't stopped since, now I'm in my late 30's. One of the things I think makes some of us Midwest travelers different than others is that we sometimes have to make a trip to make a trip; it takes around 3 hours to get to an actual airport big enough to fly anywhere else. If we drive to Dis, which we have many times, it takes 16 to 17 hours, usually done through the night. My craziest trip was driving all night to surprise my family in Disney, staying 2 days, and driving home.

I'm in total agreement with those that want a Disney trip in the winter, as the cold and snow here get get to you after awhile. My next trip is this week, and it is the first solo trip anyone in my family has ever taken! I'm excited.

South of Chicago, about an 30-45 mins to Midway, but we tend to take about 3 trips a year, with future plans to move somewhere between WDW and MCO still looking but we start booking trips 6-10 months in advance , then kinda finalize the days we look at then then book airfare and what not and we might change a few small things here and there. What also helps is the fact we have 2 major airports, so picking a flight is easy. Since we always go to WDW, the flight from MDW to MCO is 2 and half hours.
