Sweet! We just don't get the cool lightning here in th northeast that other parts of the country do. It is very very rare up here.

@Andrew I used to live in MA (Andover) and I can attest that we didn't get much lightning there. It was always a bummer at work (I was a meteorologist) to see storms all around except in New England! Or to see storms in NE, but not close to the coast.

Awesome pictures! So sorry though to see all the devastation. It breaks my heart, seeing those large, beautiful trees laying over. Estimates from last years drought, show Texas lost around 500 million trees. It saddens me to drive our roads and notice all the dead trees. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you begin clean-up.
