Midwest Airlines from Minneapolis to Orlando

Anyone fly on Midwest from Mpls. to Orlando? The connections in Milwaukee are only 25-30 minutes apart. I'm a little worried about what happens if we're late getting out of Minneapolis.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

First of all, hi neighbor!

I asked this question about a year ago and folks in the know said that the connection is doable because the Milwaukee airport is compact and the connection gates are right next to each other. They said you literally step out of your plane, move over one gate, and reboard a new plane.

We are looking at a similar connection with Airtran in Atlanta. We want to take the last flight out with a 30 minute connection in Atlanta. I guess you are always taking a chance with a tight connection, but I would be willing to give it a shot if the price was right.

Hi Pat.

Having flown out of Milwaukee many times, on Midwest, I can say, even if late, they have held the plane for connections. And as said above, the terminal is compact. I love it.

Hi! I am also wondering about the Midwest transfer in Milwaukee? DH does not like connecting flights, but if I can get the air fare where I want it, he may just have to deal with it..

Also- I too am from Andover!!!

Hi Dan....Hi MN Neighbors! Thanks for the great info.

While my DH doesn't like connecting flights either, we've heard such good things about Midwest Air (mostly from you, Dan! ) and we love the idea of the roomier seats. It was that very abbreviated connection time that makes me nervous.

Duds and Dan, it's good to know that the airport is small and that they will hold a plane for connections.....I think we'll give this real consideration for our next trip.

Keep in mind, pat, that the flights to MCO are Midwest's Super Savers, not their Signature, seats are somewhat smaller, though still better than the others. http://www.midwestairlines.com/MAWeb/travelPlanner/flightInfo/planeTypes.aspx
