ok - tonight is my booking window.

We have two reservations, one in my mom's name and one in mine. I will be logging in via phone - do I need her info too?

If I log in now I can see both our reservations and I can change dining or add money, does that mean I have access to do the activities and dining reservations?

what (step by step) do I need do upon logging in, do I have to do PAT and info first?

starting to panic here!

If you can see both reservations now you should be fine and not need more info for her as you can book everything for her room also. If you want the earliest PAT then by all means do that first. If Palo or ticketed events(or a cabana) is the main goal then you may want to do that first. Once you log in just go to My Disney Cruise and decide if you are doing your check in or cruise activities. Cruise activities you will have to pick who in each room is doing what. Check in will have to be done separately as you each have your own reservation # but you should still have access to hers. Hope this helps a little!

do I have to check in first or can I just log in and book palo and activities?

As I recall, you do have to do the Online Check-In Process before you can book anything, so you might as well do your PAT at that time and then move on from there. The most important thing to remember is to take a deep breath and don't panic if you can't get what you want right away. On my first Disney Cruise in 2015, I could only book reservations 75 days out from the sailing date. I ended up with a decent PAT (11:30 am) and I got my shore excursions. The one thing I wanted at the time that I couldn't get was Palo Brunch. I was CRUSHED. But....I have learned in my life to never give up so I continued to look on and off in the coming weeks. Before long, an opening popped up and I was set to go. Furthermore, when it comes to Palo and Remy, they hold some reservations for Embarkation day, so if nothing pops up, make that your first stop upon boarding the ship. For me, the most important thing is the PAT. The sooner I am on that ship, the sooner the fun begins and I can get those last minute reservations for things like character meet and greets, and length of cruise rainforest passes. I hope this sets your mind at ease a little.

No, you can do either the online check in or the activities bookings first. Whichever is most important to you to get to first.

I will point out, while both windows are supposed to open at midnight sometimes there's a delay in one or the other. Anywhere from 10 minutes to 6 hours. Not often, but it does happen.

Okay....sorry....I couldn't recall for sure, but for some reason I had it in my head that you had to do one before the other. Maybe it was just because PAT was so important to me that I made it my priority. :flower:

That's OK, no apology necessary. Just wanted to clear that up.

one more thing = mom is in one cabin and dh and I in the other. She wants to do brunch with us - what is the best way to go about it?

If your reservations are linked, and both rooms have the same booking windows, then when you go to Palo and select a reservation time, you will be asked who you want to include in the reservation. All names on your linked reservations should be selectable.

I meant online via web on the phone.

Ah. I wouldn't. I've found that even clicking through to the regular site it's just complicated on the phone. I'd stick with a computer - possibly a tablet, but I don't know.

Ditto what Dug720 just said. When my window opened in July, I was on 'a different social media platform' sharing our countdown to midnight. When the magic hour came, those of us using desktops/laptops were having a much easier time getting in and making our choices than people who were relying on their phones. Not sure how much of it has to do with the DCL mobile interface acting up versus hassels trying to scroll around the window on the phone. Either way, if you have the option to use a computer over a tablet/phone, you'll probably be glad you did.

And remember that it's midnight EASTERN time. For those of us in Central time zone, it's 11:00, Mountain is 10:00 and Pacific folks at 9:00 don't even have to stay up late!

Maybe we'll get the neat buttons once our booking window opens. I really hop so. Only 20 minutes to go if they open it on time. Yippee.

Does it still look that way? Because when I retrieve my reservation just to look at it, I don't get the cool buttons anymore.

Yes, the booking process itself has not changed. Just the start page. Once your booking window opens you have links for online check in and activities and they take you to the same old pages as before.
