Just curious if Disney does any type of special late night/midnight buffet? I know about the pizzerias and regular buffets and room service, but I'm talking carved fruit and cheese, awesome desserts, ice sculptures, that sorta stuff. :teeth: -Mike

the midnight bufffet is at 11:30 it was in the fancy restruant
on our 10/11/02 cruise we did not attend we had just got out of late seating dinner and where stuffed so i dont know what they had to offer.... some other may...

Generally, the seven day cruise has a "late" buffet on the Mexical/Tropical themed nights. This buffet is set up on deck 9 later in the evening, after all-aboard. I would say around 11 or 11:30.

The Western also has a midnight dessert buffet in Lumiere's. From what I remember, this is not offered on the Eastern.

We have had the dessert buffet on both the eastern and western. The Mexically buffet is just on the western. I don't know what they had because we were still at dinner during its time up on deck (ok - there's another argument for early seating: another meal!:hyper:) I do not remember a cooresponding buffet on the eastern at night.

Any midnight buffets on the Wonder?

The Eastern does have a deck buffet on St. Maarten (Tropicali) night. (The Navigators on Dave's Disney Cruise Line Tribute Site show it taking place from 10:45-11:30.)

As for the Midnight Dessert Buffet, I think that part of the reason I missed it on the Eastern was because they don't advertise it. I must have been engrossed in some other engagement at the time that it occurred!

They have one on the Wonder, I think it is on Nassau night. We saw them setting it up late one night, fruit and dessert I think but by the time it started, we had taken the kids to bed.

Hello, just back from the 11-1 and they do not put the buffet in the Navigators. They talked about it at the Art of Entertaining series and our waiter told us to check it out that night as we were leaving dinner. It is small compared to other cruise line buffets and mostly cake. They will give you a napkin filled with silverware if you want your plate to go. If you eat there it was at a table and drinks were served. I missed it last time we went and wanted to check it out but would not make it high on my list of not to miss items!

I always go an take a pick... it's finding room to eat it that has been my problem.

Everything sure looks tastey though!:earsgirl:

It seems that DCL considers a mid-night buffet to be a luxury.

I must say that I continue to see DCL improve in the catagory of food availability compared to their first years. Portions have improved, variatey has improved, and the times of food availability have improved.

As an example, they used to have "Scoops" open for limited hours (say everyday from 1-4). I think the recent 4 day trip had it listed as being open from like 10am to midnight (anyone got any references handy to provide more accurate information?).
