I need help writing a description of educational activities at WDW for middle school DD. This is for the form we have to submit to the school. We will be visiting all four parks and probably Discovery Cove. Thanks.

Ok, my middle school teachers had me do a few different things. By this point, I was taking a language (I'm snot sure if your DD is) and my french teacher had me do a whole photo study of the French Pavilion, talk to some of the CMs, eat at one of the shops and do a little essay with the photos. This project was very cool and tasty ;) . Also, Epcot has a lot to do with science so my 7th grade science teacher had me do a little write-up on two pavilions - I did the Land and the Universe of Energy. My english teacher had me keep a journal every day and have one of the characters sign it so it was 'true' (that was 6th grade) and my history teachers always sent me to Epcot's World Showcase too. Now, Animal Kingdom didn't exist yet when I was in Middle School but I'm sure you could do some sciency stuff there like at Rafiki's Planet Watch or the many jungle treks or even the Safaris

World Showcase can be very educational including the American Pavilion. The Living Seas, The Land, Universe of Energy and the Met Life Pavilion are great learning experiences.

Don't forget the Hall of Presidents at MK.

There is a lot that can be educational at AK. Go through the gorilla tour (can't remember the name) and the CMs will answer so many questions about the animals. The same as the tiger area in Asia. Take the train and you can find out so much from Rafiki, sometimes you can even see a medical procedure inside.

These are all great ideas, and I will also add "One Man's Dream" in MGM would teach her about a famous American and the animation tour shows how Disney movies are created.

Spaceship Earth in Epcot is about various forms of communication throughout the ages. Actually, I think everything in Epcot lends itself to educational experiences. I haven't been on Mission Space yet, but I am sure her science teacher will love to hear about that one!

I think you have every subject covered except math. Maybe she can figure tips for meals or budget for souvenirs.

Before I stayed home, I was a teacher, and this has really made me miss it!! :jester: Have fun!

Thanks for all the ideas!
