Midday break back to Pop! ?

Hi everyone!
I hear great and not so great things about Pop's bus service.
How realistic would it be to return to Pop at like 13:00 (or AoA we don't mind walking) and then return for the halloween party at like 17:00 ish?
Hubby will not be happy about missing too much park time so if the buses will take hours we should maybe skip it...
At the same time, we will me at the party until midnight for sure and we should go back to change into costumes!
Thoughts?

Totally doable. The buses run often enough that you usually are not waiting for too long (10-15 minutes has been my experience) to get on one, then the actual drive (15 minutes maybe).

I have done an afternoon break plenty of times (even at Pop Century!).

We did that last year. Mid day the transportation isn't an issue like at night.

I went back, had a swim to cool off while the kids dressed for the party. I felt so much better.

The last 5 trips I have stayed at PoP and returned to the room every day for break. On one trip the maid service was in the room midday so I adjusted my break a little later. I looked forward to the rest as I would open and close the parks each day. The bus service was great and they ran every 20 minutes as advertised.

Along this line, you can call housekeeping to request morning service. They are happy to know if a room will be empty at 8:00 so they can do some early (lots of vacationers sleep in apparently -- who does that at WDW?). I typically request morning service at the beginning of our trips for the entire stay. That way we can return to our room in the early afternoon for a break. Occasionally there is a mix-up and the room isn't done early, but generally speaking it works great.
