Mid-stay car rental

We are planning a split stay trip end of July and need to get a rental car mid-week for a two-day excursion off property. We will be coming back to DVC for the end of the week. Looking for stories of folks who rented from Car Care Center or off-site locations. Do offsite companies pick you up at the resorts? We have AAA and are looking at Hertz but CCC uses National and Alamo. Also Hertz provides free booster seat for kids. Thoughts/Experiences?

We rented through whomever has an office at the Dolphin a few years back. No issues.

I should say we had to get ourselves to the Dolphin, they did not pick us up.

We haven't rented the past few trips because we drove, but its Enterprise who picks you up. We found that we have gotten better rates by renting for the whole week instead of a few days. Go to mousesavers and see all the codes and also check the transportation board on the DIS for current rates.
