Mid-Size SUV for 11 days in mid-September for $350? Is this a good deal?

Hi there.

I've heard that it sometimes best to wait closer to the date of travel to book your car rental, because rates could be cheaper. I'm getting a Mid-Size SUV in mid-September for 11 days for $350.

Just wondering if thats a good deal, or should i keep fishing around?

Can you please tell me which car rental agency you used and are you picking up the car at the airport.

The $350 that I'm getting is not from the airport...we'll be taking disney magical express to the resort.

Once or if I join BJ's, where do i find the codes for car rentals?

I have costco, and their codes are listed right on their website (open to everyone).

Have you also tried checking the Alama Car Care Centre on Disney property. We enjoyed taking the magical express from the airport to the resort, because you don't have to worry about getting your luggage (ie., disney takes it right to your room for you).

We really like getting the car at the airport. Saves us time when we leave WDW, too. DD didn't get her suitcase until the next day with Magical Express once, so we pick up the bags ourselves now.

We got our car from Alamo
and even with the codes it seems the rates change all the time, Ii is kind of like our New England weather if you don't like the rate you have wait a few minutes.

Really I check the rates almost daily last year they dropped one day and I got a car for 8 or 9 days for $146 and the next day they were back up to $240.

Good luck I will say that in the past we have rented from almost all the car agencies that are located at MCO no agency is always the best price so we shop around every time.
When I started looking for this trip some agencies where priced as much as $250 difference for the same car at the same time go figure

I've always had good luck using Priceline -you should be able to grab an SUV for $20-25/day(plus tax). I just saw where someone got one for $23 during Feb school Vacation, which is a busy time -Sept. s/b less.

One other question, which one of the three Alamo coupons gave you the best value? Also did you lookup the rates online or did you phone....i have noticed are very different between the two methods...go figure.

I think I used the $25.00 of, I tried all three and I don't think it would except the 2 others either for the length of rental or car option.
