I am planning a 4 day Disneyland trip with goal of avoiding huge crowds. I know there are often graduations going on at these times and the 50th anniversary kicks off this May. I will go midweek and was wondering if any Disneyland aficionados could tell me if there would be any appreciable difference crowd-wise between mid May and early June. I prefer June so I don't need to conflict with school but will do anything if it lessons the crush of humanity.

well, may 4th is closed to the public.

may 5th is cinco de mayo celebrations and also the first day of the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

and you are right about graduations. many high school, junior highs & 6th graders have their "grad nights" at disneyland. it does get pretty crowded.

i can't tell you if may or june will be better but i hope this info will help you in some small way.

We've gone the weekend around May 20th for a couple years now and it hasn't been too bad. We go Sat - Tues ... typcially Sat and Sun is more crowded and Mon. and Tuesday it really clears out. But this year, all bets are off since the celebration starts. I would think, though that June will be more crowded than May since many schools are out that last weekend in May. But, I'm not sure ... perhaps someone else knows.
