We generally travel to the World in October or December. We have an opportunity to go March 14-20 this year and was just curious about crowds during this time. When does spring break usually start?

It's always crowded, it doesn't matter what season your coming. Near a holiday is more than not near the holiday but not doesn't mean uncrowded. Spring break where? schools are all over the place with winter and spring breaks and then when you look internationally with carnival being a month long holiday for brazil and martis gras, spring training, competitive school events and everything you have more reason people have time to travel to disney. Come when you can, don't worry abotu the crowds, expect the worst and when it's not that bad you'll relax and really love your time no matter how crowded it is.
A new season is what reignited WDW for us (and how we ended up moving here). different things to see, different decorations, no humidity on the weather, different types of people visiting, new options to do things we only read about online. You're going to love it.

We were there that week last year, we'll be there the week before that this year. We found it nice and relaxing and the weather was great. Keep in mind F&G will be going on at Epcot so make sure you plan some time to check it out and sample some of the food booths.

We are in the same boat here....have only been the first week of december and now are planning mid-march. I worried about crowds too but many here have reassured me it is a great time to go!
Count me in as another one worried about the crowds (going 3/15 to 3/19--touring plans calendar has it as 9, 9, 7, 7) but it seems like it may not be that bad. Either way, i'm excited.
That week is when the Spring Break season starts, and it's usually one of the busier weeks. Most of Texas' public schools are off that week, adding to the crowds. Expect summer-level crowds, but it's won't be as busy as the weeks surrounding Easter. Fortunately, the weather is usually so nice at that time of year that it makes the crowds much more tolerable. It's quite manageable with a good touring plan.
We're Canadian and we're heading down. The CND is still pretty undervalued so that will keep some away, but there's still a few other kids in my daughter's class heading down that week. Look for the pasty white people blinking in the bright sun.....

We are going the same week, southern Ontario March break for a lot of the school boards. We have gone several times during the break. parks busy but a fun time still.
