Mid March or Early May?

We have been deciding on dates for our trip next year. We originally were looking at Apr 30th-May 11th but now are looking at possible March dates and are thinking of Mar 12th-23rd. I know March can be iffy with Easter and Spring Break, luckily Easter is in April next year so we are missing that, just worried about Spring Break, saw a crowd calendar from 2014 when Easter was in April and the weeks we would go were level 7 and level 9's for those weeks.
Just wondering when a better time would be to go as far as crowds. I know Spring Break is different all across the country which helps spread it out, but is it still really bad in March?
Which time would you pick or is there another time? We want to be there for Flower and Garden, so any other times when that is still going on.
Thanks.

Crowds will be lower in May.

We have to go in mid-March every year because that's when the grandkids are out of school, and we think the weather is ideal. Highs will range from low 70's to low 80's. So we never have to worry about high heat and humidity (which usually set in by May) nor is there any risk of the (relatively) "cold" weather which can set in from December through February.

I vote early May! Have fun!

When I chaperoned my sisters' school trip mid-March last year, the weather was SO nice! Even when the sun was out, it never felt too hot. We went to MK and HS, and it was fairly crowded, but nowhere near as crowded as what I was expecting. We were at MK on Dapper Day, and I don't know if all of the well-dressed people (so cute!) actually add to the crowds, but as first-timers, we were surprised the park wasn't busier.

I was also in Orlando May 28-June 1 when Universal opened the first Harry Potter section, and I'm not sure how much of a difference in weather one month makes, but the heat at the end of the month was really awful (the twice-a-day rain wasn't much fun either).

Honestly, I think if you get to the parks at rope drop and do a bit of planning ahead of time, the larger crowds won't be so noticeable. The weather, on the other hand... You'll notice that for sure.

Another vote for May! I went in March once and it was actually quite chilly. I would t have wanted to be in a water park on the visit. May has always been awesome for weather and for crowds!
