hey guys,
just eavesdropping someones conversation (;)) and they're talking about their parents having a mid-life crisis.

i was just wondering if you guys think your parents have had/are having a mid life crisis.

i think my dad is having one because he's been getting tattoos like crazy lately, he had 3 by now and is planning his 4th! and he bought TWO new flatscreen TVs within the past 2 months!!

so have your parents been doing anything erratic/irrational lately that may be attributed to a midlife crisis?

really random question i know, but the conversation i'm over hearing made me really curious. if any adults are reading feel free to chime in!

I think my aunt had a mid-life crisis about a year ago.She just completely randomly bought a new convertible sports car or whatever.

Uhmmm...my dad can have his mid-life crisis yet...I have a 4 year old brother he needs to put through college...lol

I don't think my parents have yet. But I think my dad's close...

I don't think my mum has had her's yet. She acts mental all the time ;)

Geez... all my dad did was grow a mustache... twice.:sad2: Once about 5 years ago and then last year (it was bad last year - he kept for SIX MONTHS - and the first month or so he had a goatee, too....:scared1:)

My mom doesnt have time to go through a mid-life crisis.
She's way to busy taking care of my grandma in rehab, my grandpa, my brother, and I.

Hmm... lets see...

My dad bought a red convertable and a boat and he's now just getting into waterskiing. I'd say that's a midlife crisis.

why do you say that? Is he just supposed to be sitting in his rocking chair with his crossword puzzle book and watching you have all the fun???? If you bought a red convertible and a boat and wanted to try waterskiing would YOU be going through a mid-life crisis?:rotfl:

'Old' is relative guys. When I was 18 I thought 25 was 'old'. At 25 at thought 40 was 'old'. At 40 I figured 50 was 'old'. Haven't hit 50 yet but I'm gettin' close and still feel pretty young. My mother is 80..................she thinks 90 is 'old':lmao:

Save this post and come back in 20 or 30 years. Only then will you really 'get it'. Your mid-life parents aren't having a crisis. They're just out there having fun and living their lives to the fullest which occasionally includes mixing things up alittle now and again and trying something new (just like you).

:)
