We are thinking or taking advantage of the free Dining from December 12th to th 20th. What can i expect crowd levels to be like? How long of lines for rides?
Thanks!

We went this week a couple years ago stayed onsite at YC. The first 1/2 of the week was great YC was a ghost town, low park crowds, wait times were very reasonable, walk on all the tier 2 type rides. 30 minute-ish waits for headliners not named TSMM or Soarin'. You will notice the crowds start to pickup towards the end of the week. It wil start around Thursday and get heavier and heavier each day as you approach the 20th. If it were us, I would plan our must do's for the first part of the week. We pushed MK until the end of the week and it was crazy busy, we didn't do much the last couple days but try to dodge the crowds. We had ADR's every night and I remember having some long waits even with reservations towards the end of the trip. However NFL had just opened and that definitely contributed to the MK crowd.

Having said all that, I think December is becoming more and more popular and its hard to find a week between TG and Christmas anymore with really low crowds. By "low" I mean 5 or less on 10 point scale (below avg). I still like the 1st week of Dec or the week right before TG the best.

During your stated time frame, WDW will be busy but manageable. The first weekend will probably be a little more hectic than during the week days. Have fun, get there early and plan your rides. :thumbsup2

I'm there most years, first or second week of Dec. It has gotten more crowded each year, but still a great time to go.

Might be helpful.

We have gone twice the week before Christmas. And loved it:lovestruc

The first half at least should be real quiet (for Disney standards) and the second half should still be pretty quiet.

Was it recent? I'm going this year December 16-22 and was wondering what crowds might look like. What made you love it?

We went the week before Christmas 2009 and 2013. I love the weather not to hot, not to cold. Crowds are very manageable. My only other favorite time is the week of Halloween. You can never go wrong with either week:worship:

We were there this week last year, and are going back this year. The first part of the week was moderate, and it got MUCH busier on the weekend before Christmas. It's manageable and we had a great time. You should be good if you are leaving on the 20th. We plan to stay until the evening of the 22nd, and plan to adjust our plans and expectations accordingly because that weekend will be very busy.

I have been several times the 12th-16th. BELIEVE THE HIGHER CROWD PREDICTIONS. Crowds will thicken noticeably each day.

I was there first week Dec in 2012 which was supposed to be a light week but then they opened New Fantasyland. Crowds were insane!! Hoping this year 12/12-12/21 we get more typical crowds.
