Hi All,

I've got trip planned for the first 2 weeks in December. This is the first time we are going at this time. Before we've traveled during May and October and I've alwyas beena big believer of the mid-day break -- to escape the heat and crowds. But, now that I'm traveling during early December, with less heat and fewer crowds and shorter park hours, should we still take a mid-day break?

My kids will be 6, 4 and almost 3, and they are not nappers. I know they might on vacation, but it's not likely. On the trips before, we got up early for most EMH"s, then we took a break and mostly swam and chilled out in the room a bit before hitting the parks again. What do others usually do at this time of year?

Thanks!!

We went a few years ago at the same time in December. My kids were 7 and 4 at the time. They also were not used to taking naps and we did not take midday breaks. We got to the parks when they opened (there was no Early Entry in Dec 2001) and stayed until early evening. The parks close early anyway since it is not a busy time. Since it was not hot, the kids held up very well. We were able to get them to bed by 8 or 9 each night so they were well rested for the next day. We saved our only late night - Illuminations at Epcot - until our last night, knowing that we would not be getting up as early the next day.

Early December is really a great time to go!

The previous post is exactly what we did in Dec2001 but our kids were 17 month and 3 1/2. The off-season hours are perfect for our style of park touring, in at opening and stay until we are done for the day and kids in bed by 8-9pm every night.
