Mid-August Souvie Update (8/12)

There really isn't a lot to report on the souvie front this time.

• Most of the DL popcorn stands have the red Mickey balloon premium bucket and a green lidded round bucket. The bucket has Sorcerer Mickey pouring out a bucket of paint and in the colors you can see several characters (I think they had this bucket before; either for WoC or Mickey & the Magical Map).
• They still have the red lidded travel mug featuring the Main Street Horse drawn carriage.
• DCA's popcorn stands (except Carsland - I haven't gotten there yet) have a GotG round bucket and the red Mickey balloon premium bucket.
• "I am Groot" sippers are still available.
• Spiderman light-up w/straw is also still available (sold as a stand alone item).
• Disneyland's Starbucks (Market House) has a new "You Are Here" mug featuring Fantasyland. It sold out in 40 minutes thus morning (Sat), but they do appearing to be getting new stock each morning. The old design (featuring the castle) is being phased out (so when they run out of the stock they have, that's it). DCA did not get a new design.

Other non-souvie container notes:

• The Rivers of America collecting cards are still available.
• No Halloween merchandise in the parks (yet).
• The light-up rose cups are available in several stores in both parks (China Closet, Candy Palace, Inkwell (DCA)).
• The blackberry beignets at the Mint Julep Bar are really good, but they will stain your teeth and lips blue!

Thanks for the update! It is nice to see what is there so if I find out family will be heading to the parks, I can ask them to pick something up for me.

Ohhhh.. a new Starbucks mug! I'm intrigued. I hope I can snag one when we're there in two weeks!

I googled a picture of those new Starbucks mugs. So cute! It's funny because I stuck my head into Starbucks in both parks to see if there was anything new! We must have been too late in the day. Something to collect next time...

It's FL themed featurinf lots of attractions. They so get a new stock each morning, so at least initially I think you need to get here early to get one. However, they are going to be the new standard design, so you can probably wait until the initial craze dies down and still get one.

Honest John (along with Pinocchio and Geppetto) was put in FL this morning. He was...checking out the strollers!

Some random notes:

• The Cozy Cones and Flo's appear to have only the red and blue Dinoco oil can slippers (no green ones in the displays).
• "I am Groot" slippers are available in Bugs Land.
• A handful of DCA locations have a green lidded travel mug featuring the gang riding Screaming.
• No new YAH mugs in DCA, but DL had a pretty good stock today (they were restocking them around 4:00 pm).
• Hungry Bear still has the County Bear Jug sipper.
• A small amount of leftover D23 merchandise is being sold at the Disneyana Shop on Main Street. Some Epcot 35th and PotC stuff.

We saw them today. One of my girls got a picture with Gideon and Honest John.

Late night notes:

• They still had both Starbucks YAH mugs at 10:00 pm, so it looks like the first crazed rush is already past!
• The Red Rose Tavern is still selling the Enchanted Rose tumbler without the writing. The ones sold in the store say "Beauty and the Beast" on them, while the Tavern's is plain.
