This may be posted somewhere but how do they get people who have not paid for the party to leave the park? I know they can't ride the rides, but how can they make people leave or not see the outside shows or parade?

They check for wristbands if you're just walking through the park? That would be a lot of people!
Yep. Although they do a pretty good job of herding everyone out at 7:00. Anybody still left will be escorted out by a CM.

Unless someone is wearing something with long, loose-fitting sleeves (that could cover up a wristband), a CM can easily see if someone has a wristband on.

They check all over. Walking around, ride entrances, shops, etc. If they spot someone without a wristband trying to stay in the park their escorted to the exit. No stopping in shops, pictures, or even for the bathroom.

There are a lot of CM's at different "check points" and they kindly point you to the quickest exit of the park

Last year we had to pass a line of cast members checking for wristbands at various points - they asked to see your wristbands if you had longer sleeves. Very well done I thought, minimal chance of anyone without a wristband staying in the park for long after 7pm.

They did a great job last year. I saw several people asked to leave the hub area. They were really kind about it, but firm.

At 7:00 they will not allow anyone with a wristband into a shop, restaurant, or even bathroom inside the park. They are pretty thorough.

At 7, there are lines of CMs at the entrance to each land. They are checking for wristbands & you can't enter that land without 1. CMs are at the doors to each shop & counter service restaurant, again, you can't get in without 1. The sit down restaurants have limited the time you can make an ADR for without a party ticket. You used to be able to make an ADR for 6:55 without a ticket. This year, most have moved that up to 6:30. Along the parade route, CMs will ask everyone to hold up their wristbands. At rides & attractions, agin, show your wristband to be let on. Basically, there will be nothing you can do or access without a ticket. You will be limited on where you can move, you can only head out of the park.

No wrist band & you will be directed where you can purchase a ticket if still available or to the exit. There was a big problem last year with the first Halloween party with many allowed to stay without tickets. Disney ended up refunding lots of money to people who purchased tickets. Lots of online chatter about what a poor job Disney did with clearing out the park. Pretty sure that won't happen again. Word will get around quick if it does. Pretty sure with tickets to party in October going for $100 a piece, they'll make sure everyone pays.

Are you planning to try something?
No,of course not. I was just wondering if on our way out of the park, if we stopped to buy something at a shop near the exit, would we be allowed too.

You can if it is before 7 PM. After 7, no access to shops or even rest rooms. There are cast members at the doors; you will be denied entrance. You can buy some things after you exit the gates and there are rest rooms there too. If you are in the shops already at 7, you can finish your purchase but you need a wristband to buy any party exclusive merchandise.

Last year CMs caught a bunch of people near us while waiting for the first parade. They came around a few times asking people to show the party bands.

At 7pm, CMs begin to roam the park and will ask groups of people to hold up their hands and show their party bands, then I think anyone who doesn't raise their hand gets a closer look. CMs stand outside of rest rooms, shops, food places and rides checking for party bands. They also roam up and down the parade route looking for bands. No band and they surround the person to escort them out of the park.
