Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Hello, I just registered on the board and came out of lurkdom. After much debating and mind-changing we have decided to visit Disney World in December. Could someone please tell me a little about Mickey's Christmas party. When is it held? What happens? Also, any experiences and advice about visiting in December would be appreciated.

We decided to do the MVMCP the first week of Dec 05. It was a special gift to my mom who happened to be in FL for a conference the same week as our vacation. The crowds weren't bad for all the things that you can do any other day of the week, however the food lines were ridiculous and the parade was almost impossilbe to enjoy unless you want to sit for an hour ahead of time on the curb to get a good spot, which wasn't an option for us since our DS was 3 and it was the only night we could spend with my mom at Magic Kingdom.

We had done it in 1998 when it was all adults and it seemed magical, but going with kids in 05, I would of rather spent my time and money enjoying something else. It all depends on who you are traveling with and what your schedule is...just my two cents.
