Is this the parade that's shown on tv of Dec 25? How do you get to see the one on dec 25? Do you need special tickets or something? :)

The one shown on TV is tapped in various locations the first week of December. They usually tape the MK portion the first Saturday in December and MK is a zoo. It takes them all day and they don't let you just stand around Main Street, they directly quickly away...

The free pics are also given at MVMCP, very similar to MNSSHP.

It's Official!!! We are going to be at MVMCP on the 16th. We just bought our tickets last night. :cool1: :cool1:

We are also looking at the sleigh ride from Wilderness Lodge and then eating at Whispering Canyon.

I can't wait.

When my DH asked me to buy the tickets, I happened to sign in as a passholder and the only nights it was showing were for the AP discount. So we thought we were out of luck since none of the nights with AP discounts were while we are going to be there. After I realized my mistake I had to go back in and clear all my cookies so that I could see the regular tickets. DH was really disappointed before I caught my mistake. He really wanted to go to MVMCP.

I've never heard of this. It sounds like a wonderful time. Can someone tell me more? :wave2:

Thanks! Liz

My AP expires in Aug. '05. I want to do the Dec 1 AP night at MVMCP. But I will be getting a new AP just before my trip in Nov since I need it to be good until late Oct '06....so, will I be able to buy my ticket now, with a soon to expire AP and then use my new AP to get in? I don't want to have be told that I can't buy an AP priced party ticket because it expires next month nor do I want to wait until Nov to buy the ticket either.

They'll probably just have you pick them up at will call with your AP.

I was planning to visit my dad this weekend - and attand MVMCP on the Friday night, Dec 2, and then explore another park on Satuday, Dec 3 (probally Epcot) --- Will the parade taping make the parks crazier? Should I change my plan to attend MVMCP on the Sunday, Dec 4th, instead? Should I stay away at all costs from MK on that Saturday? Has onny one watched the taping of the parade? Is it fun like any other parade? Just with TV cameras around?

It only makes Main Street crazy! We were able to head to other parts of the park and the crowds were manageable for a Saturday that is.

I do avoid Saturdays at MK for the most part though.

I walked by the taping of the parade. They wouldn't let us stop and watch. Those who were able to watch probably got there early and/or were picked. It's a LONG all day process. They have the parade stop and go many many times. It is not like the regular parade.

There is a chance you may see someone famous though!

After reading your posts I think we have decided to go ahead and buy the MVMCP tickets now and then we'll see how early we want to go that day and if its before 4 then we'll get the regular passes at the gate. I hate to spend any more than I have to - especially if its just for a few hours- but my husband pointed out that it is our DD's first time there and it would be a shame to miss even a couple things because they closed down for the party. With just getting off the cruise the day before we really don't have any idea if everyone will want to sleep in or be up and ready to go early either so maybe playing it by ear knowing the money is budgetted to buy the tickets there if we want to might be a good idea. We have already planned Chef Mickeys the night before so if we only end up at the party it will just be saved money since I think we've already planned and budgetted for everything else we could want to do- in the little time we have.

On to my next question- Should I get advance reservations for Chef Mickeys? We'll be there on a Thurs.night - the other time we went my mom took us so I have no idea if reservations are needed or anything. We would prefer a really early dinner/late lunch.

This board (and all of you) are really great! Thanks alot!

YES, because it is a party night, CM will be packed as well. I'd book it now.

Hi maridw! We're going on the 16th too!! I can hardly wait!!

I called reservations today and booked two rooms at all-star sports! I just wanted to share my excitement!!

Qiuck question- you can book CP 90 days out, right?

Hello Everyone!! I just have to tell you (since no one else in my household is NEARLY as EXCITED as I am!!!)  I got my MVMCP tix today and my LTT Ressies!!! Yea!!! :earsboy: 12/15/05 I can hardly wait!!
Can anyone tell me if it will be really really crowded or just a little crowded?? Any tips would be great & much appreciated!!!

I have never been but I have heard that it's pretty busy. I don't see how it could be too bad though since they only sell enough tickets for a low attendance park full of people. You will have a great time!!!!!!!!

My mom got our tix recently too. We have not decided on dinner yet either, I think we may do Tony's for 5 or 5:30. We have until Sept to figure that out though.
