Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

156 WHOLE DAYS to go!

How will I make it that long?

What time are the fireworks during MVMCP? Thinking of eating at Ohanas on the 5th (we're doing the party on 12/1) and would love to eat dinner and then watch the fireworks.

Thanks!

Triplefigs, I just saw your photo of your beautiful triplets in your signature. They are beautiful. I rarely get to see the babies grown up like that. Please keep your signature the same.

Sincerely, Ray

Last year, the MVMCP Wishes fireworks were at 9:15 P.M..

Deb Wills of www.mousefest.org and www.AllEarsNet.com will be hosting a Mousefest meet in the MK Rose Garden about 15 minutes before the fireworks and everyone is invited. I have listed the tentative meets on the DIS Meet forums.
I also listed in the same thread previous December Disney times and information and links.

I planned a dinner one time on the night of MVMCP at the Contemporary Resort's California Grille just to watch the MVMCP Wishes special fireworks. The special fireworks that night encircle the MK park out into the lake.

I bet that it would be beautiful at the Polynesian, too. But being up high at the Contemporary is awesome, too.

I hope to see everyone there.

Sincerely, Ray

Hello! I am new here to these boards-although I have spent time reading all the valuable information.

We are traveling in Dec. to Orlando for a cruise and are staying a couple days afterward at a vacation home to take our 4 year old to her 1st trip to Disney! I have just learned about the MVMCP and I am trying to decide what to do. We had planned to spend 12/9 at the park- just the one day because we get off the ship on 12/8 and leave to drive home 12/10. I was thinking we would be there all day- not realizing the change in hours at that time of the year. So we are already planning to spend the admission for everyone for one day. But I would really like to go to the party- I don't expect we will travel back to Disney for quite some time and probably never in Dec, again.

So if I understand right we will pay regular admission plus the party admission. Is that correct? Being that the park will then be open later we may choose to go closer to lunch time (noon or 1) knowing we will be there all day/night- so then I'm wondering if its worth it to pay the reg. admissions for 4-5 hours.

Everyone else has been there a few times- so we will not be on a mission to see everything that day. Mainly we'll just hit the favorites- should we just try for getting in at 5 on the party tickets? Or just pay the regular admission and know we can get in before 7PM. 5 to midnight would probably be about right for us especially if lines are low, but I'm thinking 7 to 12 might not be enough. Any advice is appreciated!

I would just buy the party tickets. From what I understand, from these boards, that you can get into the Magic Kingdom at 4, with the party ticket.

Have fun!

for scrapbooking purposes I'd like to know if you get to keep your original MVMCP ticket or do you turn it over when you get the wristband? I'll make color copies of them if you don't get to keep them.

TIA,
Kimba

Taylors6 -
You will only pay both admissions if you enter the park before 4pm. If you enter the park after 4pm then you only need the Christmas party ticket.

Honestly if you are there just for the day and not on a mission to see everything I would go for the party tickets and enter after 4pm. This way you get from 4 - 6pm to do things that may not be open during the party and from 7-midnight to do everything else that remains open during the party.

Plus it is less expensive for party tickets - esp if you buy them in advance - then a one day ticket to a park.

Thats just me though.

You get to keep your tickets. Its a hard ticket - like the room keys.
