Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

Holy Cow!!! I just made reservations for the 23rd-30th and you mean to tell me ---- WE MISS THE PARTY??????

How can we miss the party AT CHRISTMAS!!!!! WAHHHHH!

How sad!! The last party is on the 20th. Maybe you can add a few days???
::yes::
If not it will still be Christmasy wonderful! Our first trip we arrived the day after Christmas and they had the Very Merry Christmas Parade at MK during the day instead of 'share a dream'. Oh, it is my very favorite parade! All the dancing trees and packages and rows & rows of marching toy soldiers! Best of all the Pricesses are dressed in thier winter fur trimmed finery... just delightful! So don't be too disapointed! You just have a good reason to go back!! :earsboy:

Can anyone tell me the AP Discount nights for MVMCP 2005? I'm having problems with the Disney website and it keeps on telling to to try again later when I enter my passholder ID.

I'm trying to plan a trip during school break.

Thanks

Which night is likely to be more crowded: 12/2 (a Friday) or 12/1 (Thursday passholder night)?

TIA

We have a 6 PM dinner res at Cindy's Royal Table on a night when this party is happening. I do not know yet if our group wants to stay for this party.

If we take a nice slow dinner and leave the CRT around 7 PM will be be rushed out of the Park or can we walk through some shops on Main Street and take our time. I know without bands that we cannot ride anything(which is fine) but will we be rushed out the gate?

I don't want to sound mean but do you just want to look in the shops on your way out? or will it turn into they aren't bothering us without the wristbands so let's watch the fireworks, parade ,shows ,anything but go on the rides and they won't notice. if everyone that doesn't want to buy a ticket comes up with this idea it isn't fair to have extra people in the park when other people have paid about $40.00 a person to stroll around without all the crowd that's why they only sell so many tickets. and not saying you don't want to buy tickets or anything just wondring if other people may come up with this idea. don't take it wrong

Hi!
I have a question that may have already been asked&answered in the 132 pages of this thread, but it's after midnight, so please forgive me. :)

I'm looking at a 2006 trip and am very surprised that the last date for this year is the 20th. Doesn't it seem like people who are coming really close to Christmas would want to see this too??? :confused3

Thanks for any help!

it has always ended about that time I have went as easly as dec 23 and have always missed it

After the last party, the week of Christmas, most of the festivities at the party are seen during the day like the parade and shows.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked. I'm fairly new to this thread. Usually when i'm on the board I go straight to the weddings and honeymoons thread since i'm having a Disney wedding in March 06. Anyways, i will be down there from Nov 27th - 30th and i'm absolutley going to do the MVMCP on the 11/29. I wanted to ask if anyone knows the AP discounted rate?? I know advanced prices are 36.95 for adults from the 1st page of this thread. Just wondering if the AP's prices have been posted?? Thanks!

Maria,

In our case I am traveling with my elderly parents and they hate to be rushed. We have never eaten in the castle before and I thought this would be a nice treat. After I planned out our day and got the ADR for near 6 PM (their normal dining hour), I realized it was a MVMCP night and I considered canceling because I know how they hate to be rushed. We normally hit the shops on main street on our way out of the parks. Who wants to shop when the attractions are open? LOL! I wonder if the shops will even be open?

We arrive at our resort the night before and we are thinking of doing the MVMCP that night. It would give the younger generation some time to enjoy the parks at their speed instead of at the grandparent's speed. Plus my parents like the parades and the teenagers really do not like them.

SO no this is not a case of trying to get something we did not pay for. It is a case of two Disney fans that are close to 100 years old and they move a bit at their own pace! :teeth: It will spoil the whole evening if they get rushed and hustled to leave the park. If we get a table near to our ADR time and we eat like normal it will be in the 7:20 PM range as we walk to the exit and go up main street. Now I am also wondering if that will even be possible because of the parade. I have not checked out times and locations of that. I hope it is later so we can go up main street as we leave.

I would hope that if any cm's see that you are traveling with elderly people that they wouldn't try to rush you, that's just rude!

All shops are closed from 6:00p to 7:00p and then reopen.

Main street will be a mob scene because of people arriving and also getting ready for the first parade which is usually at 8:15p. People enter and then plop down for a good spot for the parade.

pop warner will be there dec 3 to 10. It is a mad house there. We made a mistake and went the week they were there. That is why we are flying in on the day most are leaving.

Hey neighbor, we are also flying in on the 10th from Dulles, assuming that Independance Air is still around. Hoping that most of the Pop Warner kids are checking out that day or Sunday. Staying at POFQ.

AP price is 32.95 tax $2.15 total $35.10 and they are only available some nights, not all. I checked online under my AP and is shows these dates available: 11-29, and 12-1, 4 and 13.

I have a question for anyone who has already attended the party in the past. I was planning on attending the party on December 16th but we are staying in WDW until the 23rd. I previously read somewhere that after the last party (on the 20th )they usually have all the same activities during the day before Christmas. Is this true? If that is the case, should I still go to the party? What are the extra perks? Thanks for your help.

MHF Hi neighbor! I Live in G-Burg Md. We are flying out of BWI for cheap on Southwest on the Dec.8 and staying at CBR. ;)
