Tink2 & Holly Joy - I agree totally re the lack of merchandise. My group was at MVMCP on Tuesday. I went EVERYWHERE looking for holiday t's for our group and none were to be found. Very disappointing. What a missed marketing opp. for Disney. After not getting the red shirts I ran to DTD the night after we were at the party and found a couple holiday t's, but nothing like the red ones I saw others with. I was also frustrated by the lack of information a lot of the CMs were able to provide the night of the no one seemed to know anything re shirts and I asked 3 CMs where we could find Mickey and all told me Toontown - which I told them was closed for the night!! We had a great time and finally found Mickey and Minnie - just as the line closed - but I was surprised that the event seemed to be staffed by alot of the younger, more inexperienced CMs. I would definitely go to this event again, but I wouldn't have my heart set on getting matching shirts like I did this time!

We were there on 12/2. The MVMCP T's and other items were SOLD OUT 20 minutes after the party started. It is very sad that Disney sent so many people home without the MVMCP merchandise they wanted. They have been doing the party for many years and should have some idea of demand. I for one was very disapointed.

They had both long sleeved and short-sleeved. If you plan on getting one, get it first because they go very very fast.

I went to MVMCP on 12/9. I honestly don't think I'd every go to another one. I could not believe the amount of people there. Tomorrowland was a MOB scene and there was never any announcement made to let people know when the rest of the park was open.

The only things I liked were the snow on Main St., the parade and the fireworks. Besides that, the waits did not seem any less than they did on 12/7 during the day when I was there. It really didn't feel like a party to me at all. Just my opinion.

Agree with all. we were there that night. Viewing the castle lit by night as we approached by boat was beautiful. Even moreso was Main Street as we left - with the rows of garlands shrouded in snow with the three story tree as backdrop. But other than that, nothing special, and waaay too crowded.

I feel exactly the same. We went on 12/2/04 and it was totally packed - a total mob of people all over the place. I would much rather just spend the entire day at the MK than just go for the MVMCP.

We went to MVMCP on 12/2/04. This was our first time attending MVMCP. There were mobs of people everywhere. I would say even more people than on a regular full day at the MK. There was a at least a 25 minute wait to ride everything. The only thing we were able to ride right away was the Pirates of the Caribbeanm Thunder Mountain Railroad and the tea cups - that's it. There was a huge line to get the coco and cookies and a huge line to get your family photo. I think I will skip MVMCP and just spend the entire day at the MK - it was just way to packed for me.

I went to the MVMCP on the 10th, and although it did seem crowded, we managed to see each show, the parade twice, the fireworks AND go on MOST of the rides...with a max of a 5 minute wait on Big Thunder Mountain!! We did, however, thanks to y'alls advice, go at 4:30 and while the park emptied out, we got on Big thunder, pirates, peter pan, and buzz lightyear plus ate dinner and met several characters all before the 6:15 show of Twas a night before christmas!!

I hate hearing so many negative comments about this event, because the only thing I'd complain about would be the dissapointment in the decorations. But the shows, the snow, and the parade made up for it...I think so, anyway. I hope more people enjoyed this event as much as my friends and I did?!??!

I have to say I was kinda disappointed also. We went on 12/7. I thought maybe I just built it up to much and let myself down. This was a first for us and I'm not sure we will go again. I too expected more decorations. We ate at 4:05 so we were there early. We rode a couple of rides and then were told we needed to leave Liberty Square and go to Tommorowland, which was a mob scene. I asked where we could take pics and was told could not until 7:00. Then I see the place in Tommorowland and it had a line. Did not get any shirts or pins. We did get cookies. The parade was nice and the fireworks were beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the castle at night. We did not get to see T'was the night before Christmas. We tried to get the first show but the CM told us that it was not showing and that was a mistake on the program. We could not get close to the castle to see the opening there. It was very disappointing to us.

I was there on 12/5 and the parade was delayed 45 min which changed the times for everything else like the fireworks and other show so was rather disappointed about that and they canceled the Belle's storytime that we wanted to go to but I did love the snow on mainstreet and dinner at cp. not very crowded except at parade time, so was able to ride a lot.

As usual, we thought all was settled...
we've had 2 different family member have someone joining our trip that wants to go to the Christmas party... of course!

If they can't go... they'll be stuck in the room... ugh...

We were there on the 9th and 10th. Both nights were very crowded. We watched the parade once each night and just loved it. Saw the fireworks each night as well. The decorations were beautiful, but I would have I did expect to see more decorations. However; I was extremely delighted in was there for decor. We took in several rides during the evenings. The longest wait we saw was approx 30 minutes for peterpan. We passes on it and waited until around 11:00 ish and then it was only about a 5-10 minute wait. We were both very pleased with how fast the lines went for photo taking. I think this was a wonderful perk Disney did for those who attended.

I dont know how others feel and maybe some can express thier opinions on this. I would be willing to pay more for MVMCP if they reduced the amount of tickets sold. Does anyone know how many tickets are sold per night? I heard several different numbers. If Disney reduced the amount just a bit it would certainly help. Any thoughts!!!

We were at MVMCP on Sunday the 12th. We arrived from our resort at about 4:03 and they had just opened the special entry line. We got our wristbands and headed right over to LTT for our 4:30 ps. We got seated promptly and had great character interraction. I think we saw everyone twice. The food was good and our server was excellent. We left dinner at about 5:30 and walked right onto Haunted Mansion and Philharmagic. At 6pm, we were asked to make our way over to Tomorrowland and within 30 minutes, we had rode on Space Mountain, Buzz and Stitch. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes for anything. Taking the advice of others, we skipped the first parade and went through Fantasyland and Frontierland. Again, barely any wait times. At 9:10 we arrived at the hub on Main Street and were able to get an excellent spot for the fireworks. I loved not being elbow to elbow with other people. In fact, there was probably at least 2-3 feet of personal space all around us. The fireworks were incredible. I had been told that there would be a mass exodus after the fireworks, and that this would be a good time to walk right in and have our pictures taken. Well, I don't think anyone left and right up until 11:30pm there were huge lines for pictures. I'm sorry that we didn't take care of that first. The second parade seemed to be almost as crowded as the first, but we did find a spot in Frontierland. The parade itself was very good.

It ended up being an expensive e-ticket night for my family. They just weren't really interested in the shows. The MK looked pretty with it's decorations, but once you got past Main Street, they seemed to be very limited and I barely noticed that there was Christmas music playing on the speakers. It was wonderful seeing so many people enjoy it though. There were lots of folks with their holiday sweatshirts, santa hats and Christmas accessories. Maybe it's the age of my kids or where we live, but we enjoyed the night more for the rides than anything else. I'm glad we did it, but it's probably not something that we would do again.

I hesitated to post re my disappointment in MVMCP, but now I know I'm not alone. It was more crowded than I thought it would be (we went on the 7th, and during the day almost all rides were "walk right on."), but what saved us was that we made the kids nap all afternoon - that way, they rode Peter Pan, Dumbo and Pooh during the first parade while the lines weren't so bad. We didn't go to any of the shows - they appeared to be quite crowded. We were very frustrated by CMs that didn't seem to have any information - I think I posted earlier how we asked 3 different ones where the kids could get pictures taken with Mickey and Minnie and all 3 told us to go to Toontown (which, of course, wasn't even open for the party)! Needless to say we wasted valuable time trying to find Mickey and Minnie only to be told the line was closing when we finally found them (thanks to a persistent member of our group, we were allowed to stay in line and did get pictures!). We were able to get great seats on the circle at the end of Main St. for the 2nd parade, which we really enjoyed. We had cookies early in the night at the stop in frontier land, and there was no line. We only waited about 10 mins. for our picture, too. I expected a more festive feeling though, and it felt like any other late night in the park, but a little more crowded. Main St. is beautifully decorated, but beyond that there aren't alot of decorations. Like someone else, this really ended up being an expensive E-ticket night for us. I don't know if I would do it again - I felt the Osborne lights were more festive, and they didn't cost any extra to see.
