My advice: go on Dec 2, just be sure to sleep in and/or take an afternoon nap that day. I suspect the difference in attendance between the 2nd and 3rd will be considerable.

I have to agree with erikthewise. Do the Thursday one. The Friday shows are always busier since there are a lot of locals that go that night. The closer you get to Christmas time, the busier that party will be. My advice would be to do a park, not MK, that morning, go back to your resort and rest a bit. Have a little nap. Then go over to MK late afternoon and be ready to have a wonderful time!!!

We are visiting relatives, in FL, for Thanksgiving and then on Sunday (11/28) we are going to spend 3-4 days at Disney. Still undecided weather or not we are staying at Disney or commuting from my relatives. Anyways, where can I purchase advanced MVMCP tickets besides from Disney reservations? I mean is there somewhere at Disney, besides the gate, to buy them? My other question is: does anyone have any opinions on what day would be better to go to, the 28th or 30th? We have never been to MVMCP before and I think it definately sounds like something I don't want to miss.

Were going to MVMCP on Thurs. 12/9 w/DD - 6, and DS - 2. We have a 5:25 PS at CP - but what will we be able to do once were done eating? Is everything really closed from 6-7???

From what I understand, you are sent to Fantasyland & Tommorwland until opening. There will be rides open. YOu can also have your pictures taken early.

Between 6 - 7 those not eating will be herded into Tomorrowland and sometimes Fantasyland. You can ride rides there.

You probably won't be done eating till around 6:45p so they will probably just make you wait in front of the restaurant, that is what they did to us last year and the year before. If not, then they'll only let you go toward Tomorrowland.

The rides will be going in Tomorrowland.

When we went last year and the year before, they would not let us take our picture before 7:00p; they made us wait right till 7:00p but we were first in line.

This happened to us too last year at the halloween party.
They had to wait to get the official go ahead to start taking photos.

Any chance that the dates for mvmcp will be extended in the next few years to come?

Our kids and others around the country don't get out of school for their Christmas holiday vacation until the Dec. 17th.

It is a Christmas Party......Shouldn't it be offered untill Christmas????

Am I the only one who thinks the timing is a little off?????

I don't think you will see a change. MVMCP requires that the Magic Kingdom close to all but ticket holders. I can't see Disney closing down the park during the very busy Christmas week. But that is just my oppinon.

Some features of MVMCP, i.e. the parade and shows, can be seen during regular park hours closer to Christmas. In particular the Christmas parade replaces the daily parade during the busy period, after MVMCP is over, roughly Dec 18-Jan 1.

MVMCP is (in addition to making money ) a way to make the Christmas parade, shows, and extended hours available to those who can't or don't come during the peak attendance period. When schools let out the attendance increases dramatically and they extend MK park hours well into the evening, so they could no longer hold MVMCP.

We got our tickets in the mail today!! Yea!! It only took one week! I ordered online on 9/25 and they arrived today.. not to bad!

Now we just have to fight over who gets which character! I myself want Mickey.. but there is also a Minnie.. and I'm sure the guys will insist I take her!! Oh well.. They are all neat! Now I feel it is really official!! Can't Wait!

I bought extra tickets for 12/5 for a friend's family who now cannot make it (3 adults and 1 child). I read that you can send tickets in for a different day, even if you can't return them. Should I send the extras in and just plan on going two different nights or should I try to sell them? If I sell them is the place ebay? I called Disney and they said their not transferable but I don't see what difference it makes. Ugh, my husband is so going to kill me! Not to mention I'm really bummed that our families won't be enjoying this together.

I was talking to a CM, friend of mine, who only works at Disney in Fall, winter and early spring. She said that you need your regular admission (such as 1 day on hopper pass) plus a MVMCP ticket. This isn't true, is it?

Hi... i can't believe I didn't mention what day.. we are going on Sunday night, 12/5, the only night we have available.. only there for 3 days, and doing the CP on Monday night.

Is there a Dis night for 12/5?
Looking forward to our first MVMCP! 63 days! Yea!

I checked the DIS Meets board and found this thread (http://130.94.75.33/showthread.php?s=&threadid=622009) although there isn't a meet set up, there is a list of everyone going that night....If I should see a thread for a dec 5th meet I will link it here for you!

Nope, you will be able to enter MK AFTER 4:00p with just your party tickets. It has been this way for a couple of years now.

People are already reporting back from the first MNSSHP last night stating they got in at 4:00p with no other ticket than their party ticket!
