Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party Anyone?

I'm an out of towner with a Premium AP. I went to the Trick Or Treat party last year and can't wait to return again this Friday for more fun! We had a blast last year with just us girls and no kids! My costume is already packed and ready to go! Get the candy ready!!!

MTOT is worth it. Our costumes are packed!

We're from Canada - not locals - so I can say that this really isn't "just for locals". The costumes take up room in our luggage, but we wouldn't go without them.

Worth it. We (DH & I) will not be wearing costumes but DS is going to wear the costume he is wearing for Halloween which is a football player. He didn't want to do Disney this year and that's OK.

We're only going because DH is going to the LA area for work and we're tagging along. We're also Disney Visa holders and so our tickets were only $25 each. I'll pay that over the $50+ it costs to go to MNSSHP at WDW.

I can't wait for next Thursday!!! This is also how we're going to do CA without having to pay the huge amount for park admission. We're going to do a 1 day pass for DL on Sunday.

SO worth it.
I didn't expect a lot of people to be dressed up from hearing from others, but man, there were TONS of people that went all out! It was fun to see all the neat decorations (look up at the Palm Trees, it's kinda neat where Candy Corn can grow these days ;)), not to mention everyone's costumes.

Go, go, go!

plus, what beats free candy?

I know! I didn't notice those until the day we left!

OP, it's totally worth it. I'm a semi out of towner with a premium AP and we had a blast on Friday. There are SO many people dressed up and the lines for the rides were pretty much non-existant. We had so much fun dancing with the characters, seeing everyone dressed up and getting free candy. It was so much fun.

Sooooo worth it. We were there last Friday night, and it was really a lot of fun. Our kids did not want the night to end :)

What would you say is the percentage of adults wearing costumes? I've heard mixed reports. Out whole group of 8 is considering wearing costumes as we think it would be fun and very entertaining for the two kids (7 and 8-yo) with us. But it is sort of a pain to plan and pack a costume, so if only like 10% of adults in the park are in costume, then we'd feel a bit awkward and like it was wasted effort.

On the other hand, we are all kids at heart and this is something we will probably only get to do (the Mickey T-or-T party) a couple times in our lives, so I guess I'm splitting hairs.... probably just dress up and have a blast whether or not we're the only adults in the park with costumes on (which I'm sure is not the case.)

My whole family is dressing up. I don't care if no one else in the park is...This is my trick or treat fun!

Me, and my 4 y/o dd are going for my 30th bday. We leave in 10 days. This is our first time at MTOT. I am going as Marilyn Monroe. Instead of paying 50 bucks for a cheap diamonds pink dress I bought a prom dress that has sparkles at the bodice same pink as the costume. I have got my wig, long opera gloves, and bought a few sparkle jewelry pieces. The dress is the only thing different, but it can be used again which makes it a better purchase than the reg costume. I hope people will know who I am. I consider Marilyn this as kicked up a notch.

I thought the ToT party was not worth it... We had to wait in lines for everything, and did not end up with much candy... We stood in line to get a pic with Buzz and when we were close enough to see him, Jesse came out! We left the line with many others...

You don't need to go all out with costumes to enjoy the party. Just go and have some fun looking at everyone else.
Last year my autistic DS went as Darth Vader. He is 6'3" and it was so cool cuz all of these little kids dressed as stormtroopers and Boba Fetts were getting their pictures taken with him.
We go to MToT every year now cuz he's too big to trick or treat from house to house but he can always go to DCA. He'll be a kid forever and you can be when you go to Disney.

We were there Friday night. The kids had a ball, though my niece felt there wasn't as much candy given out this year as last. Yes, there were lines, but they moved quickly. The kids didn't care about the photo ops. All they wanted to do was dance. There were a couple of dance areas--Pirates' Wharf and in the Hollywood Backlot. We wanted to ride Toy Story, but the wait was about 35 minutes, and they didn't want to wait that long. They were disappointed that ToT was not open right away, but they went on it right before we left, so they were happy. My nephew (9) was a Boney Pirate from PoTC and had a great time just standing there not moving and seeing how many people he could scare.

We will be there on the 28th, we are doing MTOT on the 30th. Look for a sleeping beauty, and her mommy in a hot pink prom dress as Marilyn Monroe. Just yell out hey Marilyn lol

Cool! We will see you there! Fun! It may be my first time meeting a DIS-er!:thumbsup2
