Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party

When we were in WDW in Feb we bought tickets to P&P the day of the party using the DVC/AP discount. For some reason I was thinking that the DVC/AP discounted passes had to be purchsed in advance. We're thinking of going this Friday night, does anyone know if we need to buy the passes in advance?

I thought they had to be purchased in advance also. But I'd love to know for sure as we will be arriving on Friday and if we're not too tired might like to go.

In Feb, we purchased tickets at 7pm for the party that night, but I am afraid to get there and have to pay full price this time.

I just spoke to Evelyn at MS and she said to get the DVC discount you need to purchase in advance, but with the AP discount you can purchase the same day. She didn't sound very sure though!
