I wish I could see his face when you tell him. You will have to post pics of his face...lol. As the lastest track was posted at 11am the storm seems to be on a direct path with Miami and heading into the gulf. I am sooo ready for this vaca and still have 9 hours till we leave!!!! We will be driving through the night and through the Hanna remenents, but I dont care!

Drive Safely!!!! Don't worry, I'll have Christopher's reaction video taped. I'll gladly share! hehe

Patricia, I really hope we can make it to the Raddisson by noon but it depends on the other folks traveling. Can't wait to see you there!

This will be my last post as I am now computerless....just wanted to say everyone have a safe trip down and we will see you either at the Raddisson or by the Mickey pool!:goodvibes

Quite a few of us are at the Radisson already.
:welcome: to all the new people here. I have been out of the loop a bit as I have been on the Magic for the last 5 days. Despite some quite rough seas at times and a missed Castaway Cay stop, we had a wonderful time. I can't wait to get on the Wonder tomorrow.

I just wanted to say it was great to meet everyone and I love all of our FE gifts! I can't wait to hear how the rest of everyone's vacations went. We were SOOOO tired when we got back. I think I slept for 14 hours. hehe. I'm glad we had a wonderful time with all of you! :grouphug:

I'm here. I don't know where everyone else is except Patty and Dale who are still at WDW. I think they go home on Sunday. We just got in this afternoon after long CAR ride. Yes, a CAR ride. We missed the train!

Even though we had six hours to meet my mom in Orlando to retrieve the kids, get lunch, and go see a movie to kill the time, we still managed to arrive at the station too late to board. It wasn't completely our fault. Yes, we should have planned for traffic in Orlando and the standstill on the highway (accident), but the real smack in the face with a cold, wet fish was the fact that we arrived a few minutes after 3pm thinking we had time to spare but were told we had to be there BY 3pm and it was too late to check in. We've taken the train several times and never HAD to be checked in by 3pm. If only I had confirmed the check-in details.

Dawn, I bet Christopher slept a long time too. I'm glad we had the opportunity to get to know your family a little bit. It was very enjoyable having dinner with all of you. Chase must have loved the Club! If we hadn't met him on the first night at dinner I would have wondered who that cute little boy was at breakfast on the last day. I should have taken a picture of him grooving on those Fruit Loops.

Warren and I appreciate the creativity and time people put into the fish extender gifts. It was fun, and when we arrived at the train station only to be told it was too late to board, I was really, really glad for the candy. Warren and I had planned to share it all with the kids when we got home, but when we found out we were too late for the train and my daughter looked like she was about to cry, having a big stash of candy was the heaping spoon full of sugar that made the medicine go down.

Whoever took Dawn's FE - shame on him or her! Same goes for whoever took our bikes while we were on the beach except of course, we didn't make our FE and it could have been an honest mistake since all the bikes are pretty much the same. (Even though we did park them a special way so we could tell our bikes from others' bikes).

Monica I had great fun with you and Warren and Patricia and Dale. I am so happy we all got to sit together. Listening to everyone's stories was great. My mom really enjoyed talking with you every evening. I hope we can all keep in touch here and there. Maybe one day we will share another cruise together. My mom was definitly bitten by the cruise bug as was I and we are already trying to figure out when we can get on a 7 day cruise. Yes, we were all very tired after the cruise. When we went to pick up our car the battery was dead so we had to wait awhile for AAA to show up. I was the one driving and it was very hard to stay awake I must admit. Everyone else fell asleep in the car. I got to my moms and promptly sacked out for about five hours, got up and retrieved the dogs, drove home, and went back to bed. I'm sorry to hear you guys missed the train but glad you made it home safely!!
I think you and I are the only ones home. I know Patrica and Dale, Corinna and Graham, and I think Hayley and Els are still at WDW. Not sure about Karen and the rest.

All right, Dawn, now it's my turn to experience the stress of keeping a cruise a secret for over a year. You know we rebooked for October 17th of next year. Warren said we can't tell the kids until a month before!

Paying for a 7-day cruise and its related expenses is definitely a challenge. I feel your pain. It looks like I won't be giving up my part-time job for a long, long time. The clerk at the AAA office will know me well because I'm going to be visiting every other week with my cashed pay check until I have the trip paid off and a whole lot of OBC stored up. The good news is we'll have a total of 525.00 in OBC from booking on the ship and the amount that AAA gives for transferring the reservation to them. Won't I need most of that for tips, though? LOL

We actually have not finished unpacking. Warren's working on our pictures instead. I was resolved to get everything put away but wound up scrubbing the front porch. I just finished. It must be the post-cruise blues. Not one to mope, Warren surprised me at breakfast today when he said he thinks there should be halfway houses for people coming off a Disney Cruise.

I hope it didn't rain in WDW yesterday like it did here. Buckets - pretty much all day and part of the night.

I'm looking forward to going to work tomorrow night because it means I'm one work night closer to our next cruise.

I suggest you and Warren think of a code word for DCL now because without "seaworld" I would of blown it many times over. I can understand the half way house comment. At least you have another cruise lined up to look forward to though. I really wish we could go next year but we are going to my brother's for Christmas and that will take all our extra money. He lives in Houston and just got pounded by Ike. He is ok though and except for a leak in the roof his house made it out ok. I got little sleep last night because I was very worried about him. He has five dogs and two of them do not get along so they must always be seperated. They have broken out four windows in his home fighting through the windows and he hasn't been able to replace them yet. All I could think of was the wind coming through those broken windows and lifting the roof right off of his house. He said one of his neighbors had a tree go right through the roof of their house and he doesn't know how to get ahold of them since they evcauated. Anyway, enough of that. I haven't unpacked yet either. I slept alot yesterday. I was just so tired. I wrote out a trip report that took me a few hours but just as I was ready to submit it my computer shut down and I lost it. :headache: My mother was very generous and took all our clothes to wash them so all I have to unpack is FE gifts and bathroom stuff. I'll have to live vicarously through you and your next cruise. hehe It hasn't rained on our side of the coast. Usually with a hurricane close by it sucks all the moisture away. I hope they have good weather. It has been really REALLY hot! Which reminds me, my mother wants to do a DCL cruise over Christmas since it would not be over hurricane season (which I don't mind) and the weather would be nice. I can only imagine how expensive that would be! I am sure it would be very very fun though!

Thank you all for the WONDERful FE gifts :teeth: There are a few we don't know who they're from though!!

We got back yesterday morning and are in the process of moving into the new house!

We LOVED the cruise, absolutely loved it!!

Hayley....you were the Waldo of our cruise! :lmao: I can't tell you how many times I heard "Have you seen Hayley"?? :rotfl: I'm sorry we missed meeting you but glad you had a fantastic time! Thank you for all of our FE gifts! I'll be glad to hear about your move! Do you like your new home? Excited?

Hayley....you were the Waldo of our cruise! :lmao: I can't tell you how many times I heard "Have you seen Hayley"??

So true! There should have been a prize a Hayley spotting. If the internet speed was so darn slow, I would have checked our pictures on the yahoo group. I thought the FE gifts were spectacular too. I'm glad you had a fantastic time. I saw the magnets on your door and want to congratulate you on your engagement!

Dawn, I learned from someone onboard, who has obviously cruised DCL many times, that the Christmas decorations go up the first week of December. This man who was talking about it said every morning of the cruise he'd find a different area of the ship decorated. How cool is that?

I didn't realize your brother lives in Houston. He's going through quite an ordeal right now, isn't he? I'll reveal my ignorance about animals here. I didn't realize dogs living together could actually hate each other that much.

What were the highlights of the cruise for you all? I'll be back later to answer my own question. I better motor off to church now!

Whenever your dealing with a "pack" of dogs, anything can happen. Any four of the dogs get along great. However, two of the dogs Bear and Duke have had violent falling outs trying to determine pecking order. They both have had to be hauled off to the vet for bite wounds all the way to the bone. The problem is that three of the dogs are my brothers and two are my cousins that live with him. They love the dogs like their children (my brother would not evacuate and leave the dogs) and would not think to give up one. I wish I could get the dog whisperer out there for him but they just let the dogs out in shifts.
My favorite part of the cruise......there were so many amazing things it would be hard to narrow it down. I really loved sitting out on our verandah, coming in the evenings to see what towel animal we had next, I enjoyed having meals with all of you, and I enjoyed the shows. I enjoyed laying out by the pool not having to worry about the kids who were happily splashing around in the Mickey pool. I still have a whole list of things to get to on my next cruise that I never got to on this one!

Was I the only person who didn't see anyone?!

I didn't meet absolutely anyone! When I got on the ship I realised that I thought we had a DIS meet somewhere, but I had no idea where since I'd forgotten to write it down! The internet was soooo slooooow I couldn't get on to find out where it was - d'oh! But a couple of times we came back to no FE Gifts, and when we came out of the room, there was some there, so we were there whilst someone was in action :teeth: We got spotted LOADS of times in WDW!

We hung out by the adult pool most of the time! And thank you for the Congratulations! Els proposed whilst we were in Disney! On the beach of the GF right in front of the Wedding Pavilion on Aug 24th :) Then we celebrated with champagne in Mizner's Lounge and a Wishes Cruise - it was a really nice day!

We are in the process of moving in at the moment - we had our first night there last night! We still have lots of boxes left to unpack, but it's coming along! We don't have any internet at the moment until next month, so it'll be weird not being able to DIS at night!

Well guys, we are home, exhausted, but home! I am running on three hours of sleep (after being up 20 hours yesterday) so I'll be in an out today and hope to post some pics!

Hayley, we were so bummed we didn't get to meet you. It was so great to meet Monica & Warren, Dawn and her family, Corinna & Graham, Karen & Mark and Christina (I think that's all we met), like I said, I'm running on empty right now. All the amazing FE gifts we so much fun!

Just wanted to say hi and a HUGE THANK YOU for all the FE gifts.........how fun was that!!!!!!!! Some of you guys are so dang creative!!!

Still trying to sort thru suitcases and such......will DIS later.......but, I'm totally missing the cruise and Mickey's house now!!!

Welcome home, Patty! I hope you had worlds of at WDW. I've never read a WDW trip report. Will that part be in your trip report? Did you get any of the rain on Friday? It poured buckets minutes after we got home. How are you dogs? I bet you were really happy to see them.

Hayley, we thought we were going to spend time at the adult pool but we didn't. It turned out there were too many other things we wanted to do, and I also think the experience we had on the first day (right after boarding) tainted our enthusiasm for the "Quiet" Cove. We went up to the adult pool to relax but right after we got there a loud party of adults (it was mostly one man in particular) arrived and kind of dominated the pool (not hard since it's so small) and the surrounding space (by way of shouting everything they had to say and making it impossible not to eavesdrop, read or relax). I hope you found the pool area at its more peaceful moments.

Warren said he'd write a trip report for us. He's uploaded the pictures, and now I'm waiting for him to find his Muse. Thanks to Patty, we have pictures of us, instead of me or him but not both, that weren't too bad.

This morning, I took our onboard reservation over to AAA to transfer it to them, and my agent told me I couldn't. (WHAT??) When I expressed my doubt about that since I've done it before and lots of people here have done it as recently as last week, she changed her answer to most of the cruise lines don't allow that but she'd call DCL and find out. The transfer, of course, is allowable, and the total onboard credit for the two rooms will be 700.00 (200 each room from DCL and 150 each room from AAA). Looks like we have the tips covered. ;)

I really, really loved this cruise. The best part was being totally free to do whatever we wanted and eat anything we wanted to and not have to plan it, implement it, or clean up after it! Second to that but barely less important were dinner (excellent tablemates, great serving team, desert after abstaining from sweets for the past 3 months or so) ,the wonderful time we had at Serenity Bay, seeing both of Michael Harrison's acts (adult and family), being out on the ocean, going scuba diving (Warren) and snorkeling (me) in Nassau, the FE exchange, and especially having brunch with and hanging out with Dale and Patty. Those of the ones I can think of.

Good evening fellow dis-ers:worship: :worship: . Well, we made it home safe and sound this AM:cool1: . Around 12:15 +/-. As Patty has already said, we are a little beat (but who wasn't). She more then me. I got to go back to bed after i fed the dogs this AM while she stayed up. First i'd like to say i'm sorry we did not get to meet (in alphabetical order) Haley and Els, Tanae and family and Tony and family (sorry if i missed anybody elses name). And "Shout outs" to the following (in alphabetical order) Corrina and Graham, Dawn and family, Karen and family and last but NOT least Monica and Warren(sorry if i missed anybody elses name). You all helped in your own way to make this a VERY memorable cruise and Wedding Vow Renewal:woohoo: . I trust fun was had by one and all. Patty and i are planning on doing a his and her trip report to give you all both our versions of the same (?) thing. Mine will be more entertaining (hers will probably be more accurate). As a teaser there will be a "Bong" :confused3 and "Dusting" involved:hippie: Get your mind right. It's not what you think. So when you see the report come up pull up a seat grab the snacks popcorn:: and strap in for a ride.:3dglasses . Until then think return trip.:cheer2:
