SO Christopher asked if it cost anything to see the Disney cruise ship leave port. I told him no, other than maybe parking. He said he wanted to go talk to the captain. He would tell the captain that he would work on the Disney Cruise Ship and that for every 2 hours of work he would get one ticket. He said he didn't care what he did....he would do anything from washing dishes to cleaning up vomit. I'm wondering how I could capitalize on this.

Meanwhile, while the boys were busy watching T.V., I got all the FE tags printed out and addressed. Go me!

Talked to Hayley last night (via pm) and they arrived safely. She wanted Tanae to know that she won't be able to include her in her FE as she's already at Disney but welcome to the group.

Ok Dawn, take it from a master . Tell Christopher you were able to get "special" tickets to go "watch" the cruise ship leave. Maybe some how when you get on the ship you can act like you forgot too get off when the ship goes to pull out of port and now you have to stay. Isn't this a Birthday surprise for Chase that you were going to spring on him at the Raddison? I get sooooo . If so they are "special" tickets now (to get you there and delay it more) and then at the Rad announce the b-day surprise . Don't forget cruise cam time 5PM. Be early or be left off the controls.

This is a birthday surprise for Christopher (the oldest). My mom suggested that we tell Chris the reason we are staying at a hotel so close to the port is so he can see the Disney Wonder leave port. We are going to break the news to him during breakfest at the Radisson the day we leave. I have bought him a watch (pirates of the carribean) that I had personalized w/ his name on it. I'm going to give him that to open up as his birthday present (I'm counting down w/ Chris until his b-day surprised is revealed). After I give him the watch I'll give him this b-day card that I made for him. It says "It is "time" to go on a Disney cruise, we leave today". Dale, I love your suggestion though. Pretty funny!

Patricia, I'm glad to hear Hayley made it in ok. I am so jealous she is in WDW right now. Have you called the Radisson lately to see if perhaps there has been a cancelation for the 10am bus? It would be awesome if we could all be on the same bus! Somehow I can just see Dale teasing Christopher all the way to port.

Hi, there,

I'm back from California, and it's time to pay the piper for running away from home for nearly a week. LOL has a new meaning - Lots Of Laundry! With the boys and Warren coming home from scout camp, Leah coming home from visiting the family in Pa and me coming back from CA, we all have piles of it. Leah's was done for her before she left, but some things don't smell so "fresh". I don't even want to know why.

I tried to work on the photos to put in a little trip report but found that A) Maria (my friend) must have taken the good pictures and the pictures that have me in them (which would be the opposite of good pictures) and B) I was so darn tired from getting home at 3am Saturday and waking up at 9:30am Saturday to go get kids that I didn't feel like messing with the pictures when I got home Saturday night.

Warren and the kids let me sleep in today. They left for church at 8:00, but I was so zonked I didn't hear them leave and didn't wake up until 11:30am. (I was told I missed a really good sermon on the death of Saul. Too bad. We've been studying 1 Samuel for so long, there was probably a going away party for that book after the service.)

Dale, thanks for the reminder about the webcam. Dawn, that's some story about Christopher's plan to get on the ship.

thanks for jumping in for me. For some reason I have got nothing done today. Yes, it was indeed the question about the Crocs I wanted answering. So I can go to town tomorrow and sort this one out.
I still have not got the printer sorted out either, but will definitely do this tomorrow while I am hopefully watch the Magic cross the Panama Canal. I have so much stuff to print off.
In a week's time we will hopefully have safely arrived in Orlando. I have a long day ahead of me on Tuesday with working 10 hours followed by a doctor's appointment (just routine stuff, nothing to worry about), but after that I will gently ease into vacation mode.

ok boys and girls, ladies and gentleman!! in 2 weeks time we will be on the ship just about done our mandatory drill and heading to the bon voyage party!! OMG!!

I can't believe it! I went to target today and got some sample size items to take with me. I even found all small and mighty detergent and the little bottles are enough for 2 loads each, just in case. I also go those Tide packs that are good for washing stuff in the sink if it's needed and Shout wipes. The only thing I am lacking and hoping to find in travel size is the Downy Wrinkle release/reducer. If not I will just buy a regular size one, cause I will probably need it since I am not the neatest packer for myself.

On a surprise happy note, my father will most likely be joining us for our WDW leg of our trip! This is exciting because we didn't think we would be able to talk him into it but we are almost there. He is going to fly in on the day we dock and Mom, Cody and I are going to pick him up on the way to WDW from the ship! I wish DH could come too but I just don't think he can take off the work and he would also miss some pretty big rodeos around here if he was gone (BTW, he is a bull rider, not sure if I shared that before...lol)

So here's to hoping the next two weeks go fast! Which I am thinking they will for me at least because I am completely booked up until we leave for the sunshine state!!!!

Can't wait to hopefully meet everyone. We aren't staying at the raddison but I need to write down people stateroom numbers and names...maybe we will even be sat with a dis'er at dinner!

I think I bought all that same stuff at Target today, lol!!! Glad to hear you dad will be able to meet you all when you get back from the cruise. Was not aware hubby was a bull rider, that is very interesting. I hope he gets a chance to meet up with all of you too.

Christina, I am SO with you on the excitment level! That is really cool about your husbands line of work. That isn't usually an answer you hear to the question "so, what do you do for a living". I hope he never gets hurt. That can be rough (to say the least).
I have lots of travel size stuff already. I take it everytime I go to a hotel. I know I will want to save all the disney cruise shampoos and soaps. I actually read of someone hiding all the soaps/ shampoos in a drawer in the early afternoon so when the room steward comes back through the second time she gets another set! I can see me being greedy like that. I love those things!
I think I am going to start packing now. Each boy will have their own suitcase and I'll have one for me. It will be easiest to pack up the boys first. They wear uniforms to school and have to many clothes to count for the weekends so they will never miss anything I put in the suitcase. My suitcase is going to be a bit tricker as I have to put in all the FE things and all the surprises I've been saving for the boys. My mother has all the real increminating evidence (tickets and documents) so that isn't an issue. Hmm, I suppose I can bring my carry on to work and put all the real incremenating stuff in there. It isn't like I haven't done everything else at work. Now if you all want a good laugh.....I have to keep my Passporter at work and I am working off of that packing list. I can't get it to copy well at work so I'll have to pack here and then go to work to check it off and see what I'm missing. This will be interesting! hehe
14 days until we are partying on board w/ our DIS friends!! Now, I better get back to the (I'm feeling Monica's pain. This has been an all day affair.)

I did it!!!! I got all my goodie bags togethers, got all my tags made and got them tied to their bags. Just have a few more of my home made things to finish and I'm officially done with my FE gifts. Printed some signs and bought some of the magnets to put on the back, hope they work.

I cannot believe in two weeks we'll already be enjoying the first night shows, have had dinner and experienced our first sail away party!!!!!!

Now if you all want a good laugh.....I have to keep my Passporter at work and I am working off of that packing list. I can't get it to copy well at work so I'll have to pack here and then go to work to check it off and see what I'm missing. This will be interesting!

I think if you go on passporter.com you can actually see the packing list...not 100% sure on that though, but might be worth checking out.

I have all of the kids clothes packed. However, I had the horror of realizing out of 8 pairs of pants Christopher only fits into 3 of them. Darn growing boys!

I still have ALOT more to do but at least it is a start!

I really do need to start packing too, but I wear the same outfits each week that I'll be taking with me (i live in skorts all summer) and will have to do a lot of last minute packing. I am pretty sure I'll be off the day before we leave so I can do a lot that day.

I am going today to pick up a small suitcase from my mom for Cody's stuff and I am going to start packing him up now. We are heading to the Jersey shore this weekend for Labor day so a lot of his and my packing will be done next week but I am at least trying to stay ahead of the game. I started to get my bathroom stuff packed up last night.

I am going to head to the dollar store this week for some dinner supplies for Cody.

I will NEVER get tired of the countdown!!! I am dying for it to get here. Have a great weekend at the beach (we never did get there this summer, it just fly by). But I'm think once I lay on Castaway Cay I won't want to lay on the Delaware beaches.

I can really say now that the Magic is coming to get us. I am so excited. I promised myself that as soon as the Magic is inside the lock, I will head into town to get the last odds and ends for the fish extenders. She is just moving in now.

I am halfway done with making the last of the FE gifts. When I get back, I will do all the labels and label everything. The check in documents for both cruises are now printed off and the new printer is working a treat. It is really happening!

Christina, thats pretty cool your hubby is a Bull Rider. The only Rodeo i know of in the area is Cowtown. I was there several times, it's pretty cool. Were does he compete at? So along with our grill, deep fryer and fire pit on the cruise ship we now need to add a mechanical bulll. We are going to turn this into the "Mickey's Red Neck" cruise. Ew doggie. Oh don't forget folks we have to do line dancing.
