Woohoo!!

I got paid!! Which means..... I can buy my fish extender :teeth:

Where do I go to get it? Is there a thread?

I got mine (and I think Patricia too) on ebay by graddysmommy. She can customize them however you want. Just look for the buy it now one that says customized. :thumbsup2

I'm still in for the FE exchange.

I got my FE on ebay for 4 or 5 bucks. Some cost as much at $45. Just do a search.

Good luck with the weight loss ladies! I have never had a problem with weight (six kids and still a size 4) but, I am 37 and I know about trying to just keep things from not falling to the floor! I was really much more into my work out last summer than this summer. I need to get my butt back in gear for the cruise. The weather here has not helped. It's been a very cloudy and rainy summer so I haven't been able to use the pool that much. Now we have algae! We do need the rain (these type of summers always seem to follow a year or two of drought and that's when the pools go haywire) but, I love my pool. :sad2: Fingers crossed we get the water cleared up by the weekend.

Oh and as far as Nassau--we are going to Atlantis for the day.

Glad to hear you are in for the Fish extender exchange thingy, lol. I can't wait. Sorry to hear of your pool problems. We have had so much humidity that I can't stand to run outside (and the treadmill at the y is getting 'boring').

.

It has been rather rainy and the tropics have been VERY quite.......I really don't know whether to be happy or worried. August is generally when the poop hits the fan for the tropics so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I just came across this picture from our last cruise. I named it

Dawn,

Hubby and I are going to my sisters for a cook out. Not sure if any kids are going with us as one works, one is going away and other is 17 and I'm not sure if he's working. Oh, well. We will enjoy the day. I was looking at a 5k to do that morning but honestly, I want to sleep in!!! I don't get to do that often at all and I soooo need it.

Monica,

This is your conscience speaking..... Did you work out today!!!!????

Ok, I am only bugging Monica caused she asked that I stay on top of her and get her to work out. So I'm here to cheer you on!!! :cheer2:

It looks like we will be able to use the pool this weekend :yay:

Now if I could just get a day or two with some sunshine...I am getting whiter by the day :sad1:

We will be swimming and having a cookout and setting off some fireworks here. Maybe watch a little Boston Pops on the TV.

I got some good news today. I have 2 of my six that have ortho consults on 7/31.(the two that are going on this cruise with me actually) I just found out that my insurance covers 50% of work done with NO CAP!! Wouldn't want to have to cancel any DCL trips because of crushing ortho bills.

Of course I also got some bad news..I need 3 crowns. Again insurance pays but, I am not looking forward to that! I am waiting until I find out what the grand damage will be with the kids ortho before I agree to the crowns. Any excuse will do ;)

July 4th is just a normal day for me, but I have something to look forward to as well. I am heading over the Germany to see my parents and my sister from July 13th to 16th. I realised in horror that I had not been back to Germany since Christmas 2004/ New Year 2005.

Mary,

Glad to hear your pool is ok to use this weekend. Sounds like you have some fun plans for the 4th.

Two of my children needed braces (one very extensive work, started in fourth grade and wasn't done until 10th grade, maybe). We never had insurance for that, but were very fortunate to have an orthodontist that allows payment plans, and get this, he allows you to pick how much you want your payment to be. Not many docs do that, so many want a big part up front. I have had to get crowns and they are NOT fun.

Yes, Patty. I exercised today. Thank you for helping me get back on the exercise wagon. My back is better, and I want it to stay that way!

What are everyone's plans for the 4th?

We'll spend most of the three day weekend with my husband's family in PA. Nothing exciting but it should be fun for our kids and their cousins to be together, and my husband likes spending time with his brothers and parents. His parents live half the year in Texas and half in PA.

Mary, I wish I had your dental insurance. Our plan only pays 1400 of the braces.

Monica,

YEA for exercising!!!! Glad your back is doing better. Keep at it!!! Enjoy your weekend and have fun with the family.

Doing nothing here either! I hope you guys have a great 4th of July tomorrow though!

Although, we have a New Yorker over here at the moment as an intern and he's going to miss out on 4th July so I might decorate his door or something :)

We finally applied for our passports yesterday!!!! I can't wait now. Just over two months, really counting down!

The countdown is really picking up! I remember us all back in January saying how far away this cruise was and now it seems like time just flew by and here we are....two months away.
Patricia, I was thinking about you. I have a friend moving back from Colorado in August. She sent me an email and asked me if I wanted a dog. She volunteers at a rescue for puppy mill dogs. One of the mills shut down and they are getting 70 dogs.....including Pugs. I am having a real hard time saying no....especially when you read their stories and how they were abused and neglected. :sad1: She said if I wanted one she would drive he/her down w/ her in August. I'm trying to stay strong but I might cave in before August. If you want another Pug, I'll foster until you can get him/her after the cruise. ;)

Oh Dawn, don't tell me that!!!! As you can tell we LOVE our pug!!!

And I would love to have more, but I have to be strong too. I will though try to convince you to get one, they are the most lovable animals. We adopted Abbey from a rescue also, fortunately she wasnt' really abused, but she was not loved or treated like a member of the family. Sorry, but our baby sleeps iwth us and can lay on the sofa if she wants. Abbey was stuck in the kitchen when ever her former owners weren't home. She's not a bad dog and has never destroyed anythign so it's not like there was a behaviour problem. That's sad that they had to shut down the rescue.

That's sad that they had to shut down the rescue.

They didn't shut down the rescue, a puppy mill went out of business :woohoo: and that is how the rescue is getting the 70 dogs. If anyone is interested in even making a donation I'll give you the website to check out
http://www.milldogrescue.org/
The 70 dogs they are getting are not posted yet.
Patricia, if you talk me into getting one....well fair is fair. :)

Sorry Dawn, I was reading too fast and my mind did not process!!! It's a Friday for me, cause I'm done work in one hour!!! WOO HOO! Glad they shut down a puppy mill, they are so bad. My sis just adopted a pug that was rescued from a mill and she had a hard time getting her to walk outside on the grass, she was so use to be stuck in a cage. It was so sad, but she is sooooo cute (of course a pug is adorable, lol). Well Dawn, I keep working on you!
