Aww it's great that the surgery went well for Abbey :) I'm so pleased for her!

Don't worry, I'm sure she'll be back to normal in no time :) When DBF's dog had to have surgery she was a bit sluggish and not herself for the first couple of days out - due to painkillers, anasthetic, tiredness, etc... but she was soon her normal self!!

I've been looking at the fish extender thread to try and gather a few ideas for our extenders! I have a small list of things already, and have got 1 thing :) So excited!

How do we make sure noone steals them? :(

Hi PJ.

Oh I hope I am not calling you by the wrong nick name...anyhow. I got your email through the yahoo group and my pc did not want to load the response....ahhhhhh.

So you like the pic - we took it on the Wonder! Last Sept. Just try to go like right before they close up shop in the lobby - plan what you will wear and such but for $20 you can't beat it for a family photo and thats really saying something about finding a bargain on Disney:)

Lets see perhaps I can insert the pic in this message we will see

Ben,

In order to 'load' the photo, you'll have to upload it to a server (i.e. photobucket.com or webshots.com or others that are out there). They all seem to offer free 'storage' of your photo files. Then you can get the 'code' to insert the photo. I have seen several of those all white background photos and they always look so nice! And it's hard to find a bargain at Disney, so that's a good deal.

Ok, it's been a few hours since we got home. Abbey would only sleep (which is normal), but she wouldn't eat at all (we even tried yummy grilled chicken) but no can do. Then it was time to take our nightly walk (my son was over to walk his beagle (snoopy) who lives with us). When he and snoopy got to the door, Abbey went right over, waiting for her leash! We took a short walk and when she came back in she did her normal routine of going downstairs and waiting for her treat!!!! she had a couple treats and then a tiny bit of dog food and ALL her meds. Poor girls is on insulin (has been) and SEVEN prescriptions! Some are eye drops, some eye ointments and some pills! Needless to say you can't combine them and have to wait between each thing, so life is a bit crazy! Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers for my baby. I'm sure she'll be doing better tomorrow!

My fish extender that I ordered from a dis person on ebay came today! I love it!!!

Wow! That is nice fish extender! Somebody really knows how to sew!

Monica, if you eat at sunset, will you miss the show?

Yes, that's true. We'll miss the 6:30 and most likely the beginning of the 8:30. Very best scenerio, we make the 8:30 but without enough time to get decent seats. Maybe, if there are reservations left, I can move dinner back to 6:00. It's fine either way because whatever we do, we're doing it on the Wonder.

In neither of our cruises have dh and I ever gone to the night clubs. That's something I'm kind of looking forward to. I've read it's a good time when there are scheduled activities. Too bad I don't know how to dance and dh can't dance (but he thinks he can. Picture short, kind of squarely built man doing a John Travolta imitation).

As far as I know, Christopher has no half siblings. Although, Eric did tell Christopher that he had two sisters ages 3 and 5. I'm not sure if these are his girlfriends children (who live in CA). :confused3 As you can tell, we don't speak much. We use to but, after getting married, his then wife forbade him to have any contact with me or his son. Since they have been divorced things haven't changed to much other than every now and then he does speak to Chris. Better than nothing I suppose. It was kind of sad in a way when we got to the airport. I kept telling Christopher "there is your dad" and Chris kept saying "where?" Even when Eric was standing right in front of him, Chris was still looking around for him. He totally didn't recognize him.

That is sad. It sounds like Eric doesn't do too well at building and maintaining healthy, loving relationships. Very sad for Christopher.

We will have to do a total of who is participating about 30 or 45 days out so we (I) know how many people to plan for. ::yes::

Good point. When is the cut-off for who's doing it? I know I haven't committed but I'm leaning toward getting one of these things, too.

Monica,

She must have an embroidery sewing machine. I really love it and can't wait to hang it outside our stateroom!!

Monica,

We are in the same boat, I can't dance and hubby 'thinks' he can, lol! :rotfl:

Here's a plan, Patty. We'll let them dance while we enjoy some fruity drinks and the "show" from the safe distance of a distant table.

I changed our Palo dinner to 6pm, the earliest slot. A better chance of making the 8:30 show.

I'm so glad Abbey's doing better Patricia - that photo of her is sooo cute with her little tounge out!!

The fish extender is GREAT! Those are really cool :teeth: I will have to get one of my own Patricia! Did you PM her with the stuff you wanted on it? I get paid at the month so I will order from her then! Would it still be OK if I had it shipped to you :)

I hope they have enough room in them, I've thought of a million things to put in them!! You can put me down as a definite for the extenders!

Yazee - are you dining on Nassau night? We have a 6pm Palo ressie on Nassau day too! I read a TR recently where a couple had a 6pm reservation at Palo and when they started it was light so they had the lovely views, and as they had dessert, the sun set and you could see the lights of Nassau - it looked really nice!

Hayley,

You can definately have your FE sent to me and I'll bring it along. I have a feeling I'll be paying for an extra bag anyway since this is the longest we'll be going away and we have the vow renewal so need stuff for that, lol. Hayley if you want measurements on this FE, let me know and I can do that when I get home tonight. (they may be on the ebay site for gradysmommy also). She has quite a few to choice from right now.

Thanks Patricia! I'll have a look :) I love your design! I don't get paid til end of the month, so I have a while to decide which one!

Well it's been quite a hectic morning. I received a phone call from my mum this morning around 10.30am telling me my auntie (who I'm v.close to) had gone into hospital to have her baby! She was due to have a planned caesarean on Mon as she is epileptic, but she had a fit this morning and was taken in. I went straight over there since it was just her husband with her (my mum was looking after my cousin who's 3) and he's v.v.squeamish, and he told me they'd already taken her to theatre.

I am pleased to say that at 10.36am this morning, she had a beautiful baby boy weighing a very healthy 8lb 1oz :) About an hour after birth he was taken into the special care baby unit to ensure his lungs are doing OK because he was early (due Jun 24) - otherwise, both mother and baby are doing well :)

He doesn't have a name at the moment, but it is likely he will be called Cian Matthew - I'll keep you updated :teeth:

Hayley,

I can't wait to meet you. To 'hear' your accent with the words that are different than ours, lol. I know what you mean by a 'fit', but taking her to 'theatre' (sounds like she was goign to see a show, lol) sorry.

Congrats to your family on the new baby! Pray mom and baby will be just fine.

Congratulations on the new cousin! I'm glad to hear your aunt is doing well and so is her baby. Eight pounds at 38 weeks, wow! I had to read the post twice because I thought your mom had taken the three year old cousin to the movies. Then I remembered that there was a time in the US when the operating room was called the theatre.

The last time we ate dinner at Palo, we didn't book our meal to coincide with sunset on purposed. It just happened to. So, this time we did it on purpose. I'm lukewarm about seeing the Toy Story musical (which I think is what's on the Wonder right now). If we see it great, if not, no biggie.

I was thinking that DCL is pretty cool to let people put stuff on their doors and hang things off of their fish. I can't see hotels letting people do that. In college, we had to stop decorating the outsides of our dorm rooms because supposedly it was a fire hazard. :confused3

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I am glad everyone is doing well. Doggies and new babies and everyone.

My on line time is limited now that the kiddos are out of school but, I am still reading the board at night. I have also been ill with 5th disease. I guess I never had it as a kid and now I do(along with 2 of my boys). With kids it's pretty much a little rash but, with adults it can cause joint pain.(I was pretty bad off for a few days) It hasn't been a fun week for me but, I am starting to feel better now. I could actually work out today :)

DH is working on my door magnets and I will have to start thinking of gift ideas.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and Father's Day on Sunday.

Mary,

So sorry to hear you were sick. I've heard that before (about how bad tha disease along iwth others) is on adults vs children. Hope you have no long term effects from it. Hope you have a good weekend.
