Always something I forget :)

I hope you guys can make your reservations OK! I had a lot of trouble making mine... the website was completely playing up and I was up for 3 hours trying to make them.

The poll is now closed... Mickey's Party Pirates or Sparrow's September Sailors?

And woohoo for the 3 month mark!

Hey, I'm sorry to hear you were ill. That stinks. Remember the line from "The Devil Wears Prada" when Emily says, "I'm just one stomach flu away from reaching my goal weight"? No thanks.

I vote for the Party Pirates.

Interesting about you having trouble with the ressies, too. I got back on this afternoon and had no problem making brunch and dinner reservations. I guess most people gave up at some point in the wee hours of the morning because when I got back on early this afternoon there were a lot of time slots for brunch and dinner. Did you finally get your reservations?

Well done on getting your reservations. When are you having your Palo dinner?
I have just paid off my cruise on the Magic. Now I am waiting with baited breath for June 18th when I can make my reservations for that cruise.

Corinna

So glad you got your ressies!! Yup, we have the Romance at Sea package so made them at 105 days. We have Palo 6pm on Nassau Day and the brunch at 11.30am on the sea day :)

We've done loads of door magnets today and the luggage tags - they turned out really well! I'll try and take some pics tomorrow!

It would not be the 90 day mark by any chance? I have lost all concept on how long until we are cruising. I think the 75 day mark for our cruise on the Magic is June 18th.

Corinna

The 75 day mark is the 24th of June. I have it marked on my calender. :)

I hope everyone had a really good weekend. I took Christopher out to see his dad in Oregon (he is still there). I didn't expect it to be winter there. I was in shock when the pilot said it was raining and 51 :scared1: . Poor Christopher is out there with shorts and tshirts and I threw in a flannel long sleeve shirt in case it got chilly in the evenings. I feel like such a bad mommy:( I took the rental car and drove around the mountains. Many of the roads had at least a foot of snow on them. I had lots of fun playing in the snow. I had just a tshirt and pair of pants on so I didn't play long in the snow. I was so thankful my rental car had heated seats! I can't wait to go back and do it again next weekend only this time I'll be armed with a jacket! It is certainly a welcome break from the heat!
I can't believe our cruise is getting so close! Now I feel like I need more time to save and plan. This is going to be so much fun!

Oh, man, who would of thought of that kind of weather in June. I expect his dad will buy him some warm clothes, right? Does he have half-siblings out there in Oregon?

Brunch - we booked for 10:30am. Dinner, now I forget which day I picked but I made sure it was before sunset so we could enjoy the sunset at dinner. I think we picked Tuesday night.

I brought up the topic of the trip to the kids. I told them how their dad and his brothers would have a special visit with the grandparents without the mom and dad. I asked them which grandmom they thought would be the most fun to spend a week with. They gave the right answer, my mom. The path is paved.

Got to go to work!

Monica, if you eat at sunset, will you miss the show? i thought of trying to aim for sunset for my mom but afraid they would miss the show. Being first timers it is hard to choose what to do and what to miss.
As far as I know, Christopher has no half siblings. Although, Eric did tell Christopher that he had two sisters ages 3 and 5. I'm not sure if these are his girlfriends children (who live in CA). :confused3 As you can tell, we don't speak much. We use to but, after getting married, his then wife forbade him to have any contact with me or his son. Since they have been divorced things haven't changed to much other than every now and then he does speak to Chris. Better than nothing I suppose. It was kind of sad in a way when we got to the airport. I kept telling Christopher "there is your dad" and Chris kept saying "where?" Even when Eric was standing right in front of him, Chris was still looking around for him. He totally didn't recognize him. Chris is having a great time now and I'm SO happy that he is. I hope visits start to become more regular.

What kind of fish extender gifts are people thinking of? I know little odds and ends but I feel so confused. We will have to do a total of who is participating about 30 or 45 days out so we (I) know how many people to plan for. ::yes::

Dawn,

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe we can start to use the yahoo board a little for getting 'lists' going. It's kind of hard to go back into this thread to find something (and the search just does not work).

I'm not too sure what to bring either... do we have 1 thing for each day, just a couple of things or 1 thing for the cruise?

I was thinking 1 thing could be something from where you live? Cultural or otherwise :)

Good idea Hayley (the thing from where you live). we'll definately need a count so we know 'how many' things to buy.

We got a name!!!!!! Woohoo, now I can start on magnets (yea, right, I'll be doing them the weekend before, lol). Hayley can't wait to see what you made over the weekend (and hope you are feelign better).

Could someone explain the magnet and fish extender concepts? We are a little we behind the ears on some of these things.

You will have a fish outside of your stateroom door in which the crew can leave you messages. A fish extender is kind of like a shoe organizer, a piece of material with pockets, that you hang from your fish and other people (your DIS family) can put things in it. You can make these yourself or you can find good deals on ebay.

The magnets are just to put on your stateroom door to decorate. Some of the more creative people in our group will make them. The non creative people and people without printers (ie me) will buy some to stick on their (our) door. You can only use magnets on the door. Tape and stickers are not permited.

Here is a link to a thread about little gifts/trinkets to put in other's fish extenders:
Fish Extender Gift ideas

Photo of someones gifts they got on the cruise just to give you an idea of what types of little things you can do (this was an elaborate 7 day cruise I think).

Thanks, we can start working on these for September.

:teeth:

I can't get the poll to go away though for some reason!!

I'll take photos of what I made over the weekend tonight and try and post some up! I'm feeling much better thank you!

:offtopic: sorry...

My pug Abbey had her eye surgery yesterday and I get to pick her up at 3pm today!!!!! She should be able to see me again!!! I am so happy. Her eyesight should continue to improve over the next few weeks, but compared to yesterday morning, she couldn't see anything. :goodvibes

I'm so happy for you and Abbey! Keep us posted on her improvement!

Abbey is home, but she's so tired, she hasn't been the happy to see me baby I was expecting. I feel so bad for her, but she's been through a lot in the past two days. They said she should start acting normal over the next two days. I'm hoping she'll soon be her happy go self.

How is Abbey doing? Is she eating? Just sleeping? I hope she is feeling better by evening.
