We are interested in making a short trip this fall for Mickey's NSSHP, when should we book a room? Is it all month in October, is it ever during Sept.?

Are there certain days that they always have it?

Thanks for your help

Book now if you want. It shouldnt be busy at all.
Yes, it is all month during October. Never in September.
It cost about $31.95 per person over 3.
Those dates have yet to be released. That will be in Arpil or May.

Here are the dates for this year, from the DIS:

"Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

The dates for 2005 are: September 30, October 2, 4, 7, 11, 13, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31"

We're planning on going too, our first one I'm so excited! FYI, DD's fall break is 10/27-28, so I'm thinking the later dates might be more crowded than the early ones. It's all relative though - crowded compared to the holidays, summer, or spring break - doubt it! :)

We went on a Sunday night and it was great. Not too crowded because locals have school and many people travelling leave Sunday morning. We had a ball. If you can pick a Sunday night MNSSHP, do it!

OMG. Those dates are not correct. This is like the 50th time I have posted this:

Boo! Don't be afraid. The screams you hear are squeals of delight, not fright. Disney fantasy and Halloween fun come together on selected October nights for a one-of-a-kind celebration. Seize this rare opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom in costume, and trick-or-treat for candy and goodies with your favorite Disney characters, all in their finest Halloween outfits. With special music, parades and fireworks, this is no trick — it's a real treat.

Dates: 2005 dates to be announcedLocation: Magic Kingdom® Park

These dates will NOT be released until April or May. Go to here and read what it says below the dates. "The details for the 2005 MNSSHP have not been released. Below is a recap of the previous year's activities: "

Hmmm, I was just passing along the info on the DIS page, Yes it says the events aren't planned for 2005 yet and it describes the details of 2004 but the title says the dates for 2005. I missed your other posts. Thanks for posting it for the 51st time - I was planning our trip around the dates on the DIS! I would have been very very disappointed.

The only reason I keep looking for these posts is just simply to save the CRO some headaches. The last time I called about this the CRO CM told me they were getting swamped all of a sudden with calls about the tix. And she tried to be very nice about it but you could tell that she was getting upset. :)

I can understand why she'd be getting upset! Seriously - thanks for the posts! :wave2: I'm going to wait to make our ressies unless we decide to do a full week in October or go during the latter half of the month.

FYI...those dates are probably VERY close to what they will be. Maybe someone at the DIS has some inside scoop as those are NOT 2004 dates.

They are basically the same each year give or take: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays and Halloween night.

How do you know for a fact that they are NOT correct? I highly doubt the DIS would post incorrect info without a very reliable source. The dates are leaked out and talked about well before they officially go on sale (which was May 1 last year).

Just wondering.

Okay, in my other post....

I said:

And I called Disney about the dates. They said :
The dates for that (MNSSHP) haven't been released yet sir. They will not be released until sometime around April or May.
That is why I also said earlier:

Thats how I know.

Yes, someone here did post the wrong dates. BUT they also posted that the 2005 dates have not been released yet. They only posted those dates because they are probably pretty close to Disney's dates.

What you've posted in your investigating still doesn't prove that those date are wrong. They could very well be right. IF you think they are wrong, take it up with the DIS. IF they are wrong, I'm sure the DIS will correct it.

When I read the info on MNSSHP on the DIS it sounds to me like they know the dates but don't have 2005 info on the party festivities, which is always the case from year to year; the dates come out well before the info on festivites.

OK, I kept telling myself to avoid posting on this topic, since I was previously accused of spreading misinformation (the dates posted by the Dis), but here I go again....

WebmasterRegina is the person who originally posted the dates on this board, and in her original post she verified that yes, the info is correct and did come from disney, the Dis would not post the info if it came secondhand.

Anyone who has read the boards for awhile knows that it isn't unusual for the Dis to have info before it officially shows up at the wdw website, and that unfortunately the CM's who answer the phones don't always have the correct info either (for example: when buses run for early character breakfasts, frequently posted on these boards).

G00fyDad, you keep posting that the original poster of the info
also posted that the 2005 dates have not been released yet. They only posted those dates because they are probably pretty close to Disney's dates.
Where did WebmasterRegina ever say that?

::yes:: :disrocks:

Good grief. Okay, I'm not trying to get ticked here or anything but come on.... Are you even reading the quote?

The dates for that (MNSSHP) haven't been released yet sir. They will not be released until sometime around April or May.

That is straight from a Disney CM at Member Services. There is no way to get around that. Explain to me how someone working as a DIS webmaster would have a better idea as to the exact dates than the actual company that is hosting the thing? I mean really.... They didnt tell me "Sorry sir, we have no clue here, but those boys and girls at DIS have got the info for sure. Try contacting them.".

This is laughable at best. It is obvious to everyone plus a monkey that the dates are not set yet. However, it never fails that someone will argue that this information is wrong, that they are correct in assuming the dates HAVE been set and that nothing you can say will change their mind.

Fine, I would love to see ANYONE call Disney at 1-407-939-7844 and get MNSSHP tickets. (Or dates for that matter)

Wow, aren't we a bit testy with the monkey comment? It is laughable actually. Just because the CMs on the phone won't confirm doesn't mean squat really; they don't always know things first and that's common knowledge here.

Here's the original post from WebmasterRegina regarding the release of the dates. Maybe, just maybe it can clear things up.

Just because you think they are incorrect and not released yet doesn't mean we at the DIS can't disagree and go by these dates when planning our trips and post them when someone asks for the dates. As long as the DIS is ok with posting the dates, then we can post the dates, whether you agree or not. You are the one who first started gettig upset with the "OMG...50th time posting this" post.

Hopefully, we can settle this when everyone reads WebmasterRegina's thread on the subject.

Okay, I may have bought that had I not spoken to a manager at MS. I would understand that the average CM might not have all the facts but I hope to God that the Managers/supervisors have the facts. She actually put me on hold and called someone else to verify this because I told her that I absolutely did not want to miss this. She said that the people that set the dates havent done so yet and may not for at least another month.

Okay, let's end this debate.

I have no desire (and I hope no one else does) on planning my vacation on dates for a function like this that hasnt even been given by Disney yet. I would prefer to not think of the Disney staff as liars. That is of course what you are saying about them if you still say that these dates are correct. After all, it was verified by a supervisor in the department that handles the MNSSHP. Or did they lie to me about actually calling them for me? Hmmm. I'll go with Disney on this one. Thanks.

And you are bascially calling WebmasterRegina a liar. I hope you do drop it. You go by whatever info you want to.
