Mickey's NSSHP

Actually, it is a great way to get ready for the party. If you have late afternoon dinner reservations at LTT, then they come around the restaurant and give you your bracelet that allows you to stay in the park right there in the restaurant (which is why they dont allow people who are NOT coming to the party to have late ressies and why they magically opened up when she mentioned she was a party go'er).

So, if you are choosing to go to the MK BEFORE the party (which burns a day of park attendance....if you dont show up until party time), having dinner at LTT makes it easier on you and the characters ARE in their halloween costumes for the dinner ressies.

In years past (no guarantees of this year), the party dates have been fairly consistent. If you have the ability to go in October, then try to make your ressies for a Sunday night if you can (or over 3-5 week nights) and you will hit a party date once they are released. The dates on the other site are PROBABLY correct and it hurts nothing to go ahead and make your hotel reservations and then call in May when you can purchase the tickets for the party. Try to avoid Friday night if you can (since children dont have school and parents dont typically have to work) because they are busier. Also, know that the party is til midnight, so dont plan much for the next day if you plan on staying for the entire party.

One other tidbit, which again is my experience - NOT FACT, is that they start allowing you into the parks about 4:30-5 ish with the official time of the party being 7. You will be hustled over to Tommorowland between park closing (6) and party beginning (7) but you would be free to do other rides earlier or catch dinner in the park and it doesn't cost you a days admission. We have done both the MNNSHP and MVMCP this way after spending the day at the resort pool and doing other things when we used to have hoppers (have APs now - so it doesn't matter).

Good luck with your planning. To me the biggest hurdle is deciding WHEN to go and then the rest slowly falls into place. You cannot make PS ressies until 90 days out anyway, so you are still pretty flexible until you know your MNNSHP date in October to plan around. So you pick the dates for your trip - unless you are going for one or two nights, you WILL hit a party in October.

Just an FYI;

I have seen those same dates on other boards. They were released by Disney and sent to Travel Agents. CM's only know what is in their computers.

Case in point; Star Wars Weekend dates have been released too -- but the are not in the Disney computer or on their site yet.

It's not a matter of guessing and assuming from last year. :rolleyes2:

This is going to sound goofy, but where do you buy tickets??? I think we'll have to do the LTT dinner. Do they have an early seating, as in between park closing/party opening time?

Tickets aren't on sale yet, but when they are you can call wdw to purchase them in advance. Last year the tickets went on sale May 1.

Many people like to have an early PS so they'll be done eating around the time the party starts.

Here's a thread about last year's MNSSHP, it talks about LTT PS, and has lots of other useful info.

I already am going in October and have my reservations set. AND our first day is Sunday the 16th at MK. So if the dates here are correct and not off by one or two days then it will work out perfect. :teeth:

Yeah, I knew about all that. What I was asking princess-rn was whether LTT did something special for it.

I'm pretty sure madge was saying that the characters AT LTT are dressed differently for MNSSHP.

Ohhhhhh

I thought she meant to tell me that the characters dressed up for MNSSHP which I already knew. Thats what I thought was amusing.

I think it will be pretty neat to see them like that in LTT. That is if they dont scare DS out of his wits so bad that he wont eat. (He even hates Santa) :teeth:

You wont miss unless you were only staying for a night or two. That is PRIME Halloween party time! Have a blast. I am looking forward to it again this year :)

Let me ask people that been to MNSSHP something. Where is a good place to rent a costume?

that's exactly what I was saying :) If you go eat at LTT for dinner tonight, I doubt you will see any of the characters dressed in Halloween costumes. On most nights, the Character Meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern is a colonial theme. I've not been to the Liberty Tree Tavern on the night of a Christmas Party, so I don't know if they dress in holiday costumes then, too.

Liberty Tree Tavern

LOL :rotfl2: Never mind. LOL I am sorry. I am just rolling here. No one understands what I meant. LOL

Its okay. Really. I understand what I needed to know now though. LOL

What kind of costume are you looking for? Something elaborate, something simple? Looking for just yourself, or do you need a selection for everyone? If you're looking for a costume rental place close to Disney, there really arent' any. You'd probably be better off renting one at home and bringing it than you would be spending a day of your vacation renting costumes.

:earsboy:

Questions questions...back to the Halloween costumes on the characters at LTT...are they different costumes than the ones they where during the party?

PS times...5 or 5:30 sounds good to me...do we have to finish, leave LTT, and go to Tomorrowland?

Thanks...I'm sooooooooooo looking forward to this! It's DDs favorite holiday, and I have to say I enjoy it too! ;)

Nothing extreamely elaborate. But something nice. DW and I are gonna need them. DD and DS will already have theirs. Something Disney. :)

GoofyDad - have you checked DisneyDirect.com? They might have some on clearance...just a thought!

They basically wear a mask and their regular Liberty clothes and then Chip and Dale also have an apron with something Halloween on it. Pluto wears part of a pumpkin on his head.

Depending on when you finish, yes, they will direct you to Tomorrowland if the park isn't officially opened up again. If you finish right around 7:00, then no, you won't have to go to Tomorrowland. :sunny:

Believe it or not, we won't knowingly post inaccurate schedules and information on the site.

Trust that travel agents will often get information in advance of the public, and in advance of the CMs answering your questions on the telephone. WebmasterRegina has access to sources that the person you talked to on the phone probably doesn't.

If you have reliable, credible information that indicates that any information published here is not accurate or may have been changed, you can use the links at the bottom of the webpages to bring it to the webmasters' attention.

In this case, I believe that the published schedules are accurate.

I believe I dropped this subject when SnackyStacky posted the following:

AS for your comment, I have brought it to the webmasters attention. I was ignored or told that I was wrong. Besides, that was not what was under my skin to begin with. If you're right then you're right. Fine. I simply had a hard time understanding why they (WDW) would give dates to some people but not all. I dont care that you run a Disney website. That shouldnt matter. Why would they give DIS the dates but NO one else? I have yet to find even a travel agent that has this info.

I was simply asking the OP if they truly believed that a Disney CM supervisor lied to me. No one could gather the courage to just answer my question. They kept beating around the bush about it.

Now beattyfamily and I have been asked to drop this subject. We have. Thanks.

Look..I'm just trying to help you. We were at MNSSHP last year and I learned alot while planning it and even while I was there. EVery suggestion or comment I've made to you you have either snarled at or LAUGHED at. I just wanted you to know that it is not appreciated. There is no reason to be disrespectful to ANYONE that is trying to help you.
