I am planning a trip for September 2-9. We are hoping that one is offered during our stay. Is there a pattern to what days the parties are generally offered? Or what day of the week the first party is generally offered? I know this is super early, but just trying to get an idea of what our plans could be. Thank you
Couple of things to keep in mind...it's not a total given that
MNSSHP will run that early in September. This year the first party was 9/2 but in 2015 it didn't start until 9/15. This year's early Sept start was more consistent with other recent years (other than 2015), but keep that in mind.
Secondly, your trip straddles Labor Day. "Typical" party dates are a bit different on holiday weekends like that as there's not usually a Sunday party.
Thirdly, your trip also overlaps with Night of Joy which is 9/8 and 9/9 (Friday and Saturday) in 2017. This is no longer a seperatly ticketed MK event as of 2016 (it's now as ESPN WWOS), but participants do get a park ticket I think. In 2016 there wasn't a Friday party on the same night as Night of Joy.
For example, here were the party dates for 2016:
9/2 - Friday
<Note: 9/5 was Labor Day - Monday>
9/8 - Thursday (note, in 2016 the Night of Joy event was 9/9-9/10, Friday-Saturday)
9/11 - Sunday
9/13 - Tuesday
9/16 - Friday
9/18 - Sunday
9/20 - Tuesday
9/23 - Friday
If I apply the same schedule to 2017 (which BTW is dangerous logic)...here's what it could look like:
9/1 - Friday (first party)
<Note: 9/4 is Labor Day - Monday>
9/7 - Thursday
9/10 - Sunday
Obviously the 2017 schedule could be totally different so the above is hypothetical, but if it were to follow the same pattern it looks like you could have 9/7 as a party date.
