So I just got my MNSSHP tickets in the mail and on both the tickets and the paper included it states that the tickets are good for entry after 7 pm. We're going to the first party of the season on Sept. 2nd. So this is our first time attending this party and I know the party start time is 7 but I was under the impression that we would be able to get in at 4 pm. Is that still the way they do it or are the tickets really only good after 7 pm like it says on the back? Also any advice from seasoned Halloween party goers on what to skip and what not to miss will be great! My family includes 3 adult and 1 two year old. Thanks! All reply's appreciated

The party officially starts at 7, but you can enter the park with the party ticket starting at 4. Check this thread for information about the parties:

And you WANT to enter at 4. We went a few years ago and entered early. Ate dinner and just after got over to the area where they put the wrist bands on. I'm so glad we did that as we really didn't have to wait in any line for our wrist bands. We got on rides quickly before the party and were able to map out a plan of attack about 30 prior to official start time.
Going in early will also let you get into an early meet & greet lines a head of the 7 pm arrivals. Some of those lines start an hour before the party.

When we went in 2014 we didn't have any trouble getting in early (I think we arrived around 4:30 p.m.). Planning to do the same this year--having an early dinner in the park and we'll be ready to roll by 7:00 p.m. when the party starts!

(Since we've only been once I won't try to give advice on what to hit/skip, but the parade is awesome!)

We've gone in at 4, had dinner, and done some of the "non party" things (any of the rides not operating during the event), checked out the gift shoppes for special party merchandise, and hit up some rides early so we could focus on "party specific" activities later on. we always caught the first parade (and then i watched the beginning of the second, couldn't help it, just too cool) and then hit up anything we missed after the parade. i'm super excited for you! hope you have the best time!

I am sooo excited! We go every year since I was born (2003)!! I know it's only June...but I practiced putting on my makeup and I am gonna make my own costume. I am being half Jack half Sally!! I am so excited! The lines are shorter, u can go in candy lines more than once, and get to show off your costume!! I always have fun! We got there at 6:45pm and stayed til midnight! After you go you will wish it never ended!! It's SOOOOO FUN!!!!!
