Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween

I've been trying to decide on a trip to the world for the end of October to try and see the Not So Scary Halloween party. Does anyone have any tips on going that time of year or special halloween things I might not know about? Also I noticed that the party is an extra charge, is it really worth it? Thanks so much for your help!
