Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

I want to know some info on this halloween party thing I have always wanted to go but we haven't been yet. I want some reviews. I have the option of going to WDW sept. 18-26, the 23-26, will be on a Disney Cruise, or going Oct. 16-24. The September dates are in the value season, and the October dates are in the regular season. Is the MNSSHP worth it and what are the crowds like around this time?? Is October more crowded that September??

I was at MNSSHP in October of last year. They had the FVP going at the same time, but it was not that crowed. We went from the 9th-17th of October. We had lines maybe 20 min max, but it was not too hot and we didn't have to worry about the rain and storms that come in September.
Now MNSSHP was well worth it.. Just get there about 5 pm. As you can enter and get your wrist band and start riding the rides while everyone else is leaving. We had a great time.. MAke sure you get your picture taken also. You can get 1 picture per paid person. Also stroller and locker rentals are free. Wear a costume and don't miss the parade and fireworks..

Go to toon town early as it gets very crowded... I don't remember if we were able to use the FP though.. I don't think so. I would go early on in your trip as the closer to the 31st you go the more crowded..

Thanks guys I still don't know what to do, the rates for the cruise went up $400 to go in October, that is my only main concern. Does anyone know if AAA has discounts for Disney Cruises??
