Is it worth it?

I'm trying to plan another trip to The Fort for sometime late next year (we went this past summer but the Florida heat and yellow flies were too much for me!). We've been at The Fort in early November and the crowds and weather were perfect. (I was thinking maybe the 2nd week in October 2011)

Just wondering if MNSSH party is worth the ticket to go? I plan on staying a week at The Fort but not doing the parks everyday (despite how tempting they make it to add more days!) and NOT doing the dining plan (big waste of money the last time for mediocre food, IMHO!).

Ummm......hmmmm.........our kids were little. Anything and all Disney was exciting. We went a few years ago on Halloween night. I wanted to go all out. Was I disappointed??? No, but having said that, we probably won't go again. They have much more fun at the Fort on Halloween, but the Fort is one of THE BEST places to be on Halloween. The trick or treating alone is so much fun and it's FREE!

I think all Disney events like this are overpriced, but I just had to try it. Of course, we're going to do the Christmas Party at MK in December, but the kids won't have it any other way.

We're empty nesters and travel without children but we enjoy MNSSHP much more than we do MVMCP.

The parade is spooky and extra-special, as is the special HalloWishes pyrotechnics show.

And of course most of the guests are in costume, as well as the Disney characters. Some of the costumes are just amazing! And Goofy gives away lots of candy at a number of "Trick or Treat" locations.

Spend Halloween night at the Fort, but try to make MNSSHP on some other night!

We'll be there from October 25th to November 9th and we'll be going to both parties! Yahoo! party:

we've been during halloween and the not so sacry party has been a blast. then you can also combine that with the food and wine festival - you've got a winner

We went last year after many years of WDW for the first time. We really enjoyed it. You could use it as a Park day as they let you in about 4pm and everything starts a little later. The Fort at Halloween is a special time also..

Well, I booked Oct. 29th-Nov.5, 2011!!

A long time to wait but I was getting Disney/Fort Wilderness fever! :yay:

Our first MNSSHP was last October and we had a blast. The price was cheaper than a reg. day ticket, they let you in at 4pm and I was amazed on how they got the reg ticket guest out of the park by 7pm. Our kids had a great time, it was cooler at night and the park seemed less crowded. We are going on 10/7 this year. We also booked our MVMCP this year and can't wait to see what it's like

MNSSHP is my favorite of all the hard ticketed events. Great atmosphere, awesome fireworks, etc. The parade is fun, too.
