We are going to be experiencing this event for the first time this year and wondered if anyone had any advice about this event - where are the best bits in the magic kingdom for couples?pixiedust:

I would recommend staying until midnight. People with kids usually leave earlier and the rides have no lines the last hour or so.

Don't miss the parade or fireworks, too. We usually see the second parade because it's less crowded.

And don't forget to go Trick or Treating-- there are a lot of adults without kids doing it and it's lots of fun.

Thank you for your advice - husband doesn't know it yet but we're staying up til midnight now!

definitely agree with everything Haley say.

you will be walking alot - lots of the tricks& treats are in the places where you don't normal walk.

you get see other places

I was planning to go to the Halloween party with my boyfriend this year too. I already picked out a costume and everything! I'll probably more excited than most of the kids!!:yay:

I will agree with everything everyone has said but you must go in costume!!! My husband and I did it last year and people where actually having their kids take pictures with him because he was dressed as Captain Hook. We love it and plan to do it next year.

Thanks for the info on more candy at the end of the night:cool1: I guess we will def be there until closing now:cool1:

I'm a huge fan of MNSSHP. I go every year and have never once been there with kiddos! I've dressed up and not dressed up. If you choose to dress up, go COMFY! Be a doctor (scrubs), a farmer (overalls, bandana, cowboy hat), or, my personal favorite, "person-in-their-pajamas!!" Hee hee!

Agreed that you should trick or treat (yep--more candy at the end of the night!). And keep an eye out for the characters--they're dressed in their costumes, too! Also, some pretty obscure characters tend to come out at MNSSHP--I've seen all seven dwarves come out together!

The fireworks are fantastic, so be sure to watch them. And the parade is one of my favorites that Disney has ever produced.

The Haunted Mansion is super spooky on MNSSHP night, so do visit! Also, Disney offers (off and on) a ghost story steamboat ride on the Magic Kingdom steamboat. I've never been on this, but it's supposed to be fun.

Enjoy!! And if you can get a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner that night, you'll see the characters in their colonial-age costumes: too cute!

my wife and I are not big halloween fans so I have a few questions. do you need a seperate addmission ticket to attend and if so do they close the park early and reopen it?? Do they do the wishes parade and fireworks firat then repeat it for this event?? We will be there on Oct.2nd Where can i find info on the hours for that day and event?? Thanks

You do need a separate admission ticket to attend the party. The party starts at 7 pm, but with the party ticket you can get into the park at 4 pm (in past years anyway). I usually take it easy the day of the party and then arrive at Magic Kingdom around 4. The park never actually closes, but at 7 people without party wristbands can't go on rides, trick or treat, etc. and they are encouraged to leave. There are special fireworks and a parade just for the party (the parade is run twice). I'm not sure if they do the regular Wishes or parade as well before 7 pm. You can find park hours and info. about the party on disneyworld.com or lots of other sites if you do a google search. It's a lot of fun!

Don't let it stop you!! Pack a rain coat and have fun. My sister and I have been 2 yrs in a row and it has rained both times!!!
