Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

I am hoping to attend MNSSHP. Has anyone done it within the past year or so. Does anyone have a tips or hints for the party?? Is it better to go earlier in the month. Whats the best spot to view the fireworks or the special parade? Are there any special photo oportunitys with anything that has to do with the haunted mansion. i thought i had read that there was a spot you can get your picture taken in a doom buggy or something? Any trick or treating tips? Or best places to see characters??? Any unique photo oportunits??? AAANY advice at all would be appreciated!

MNSSHP is great! I would suggest going earlier in the month, it seems less crowded. We didn't watch the parade so no suggestions there except get a seat very early. There are characters all over the place during MNSSHP and many times ones you wouldn't normally see, it's very cool.
