Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Questions

1. I ordered our tickets on May 1, and I was wondering when I might receive confirmation in the mail if I am supposed to be sent any information?

2. I've heard that sometimes the park opens early for the party at 4pm even though it starts at 7pm. If we get there early, will it make a big difference then getting there for 7?

QUOTE] Sorry, can't quite figure out the quoting thing.

I ordered our tix for the Oct 8th MNSSHP this past Friday and got them in the mail yesterday ( 4 days later). If you haven't received them I'd call and find out what's going on.:confused3

Also, I was told by the CM when I ordered my tix that the party begins at 4:30, not 4pm like you hear from everyone else......anyone else hear this, too? Not that it matters much as we will be in MK for the day anyway, but it'll matter for people that won't be in the park for the day and don't have hoppers.

The party does not BEGIN at 4pm, you can just enter the park at that time. It actually starts at 7pm. Everything I have been told, it's 4pm, not 4:30. We arrived at 5pm last year and went right into MK, no problems.

Sorry, I mistyped that I guess. Yes, I know the actual party begins at 7pm, but the CM I bought my tix from said two different times that we can "enter the park at 4:30", which of course is totally different from everything else I've heard. Just wondering if anyone else that has bought tix were told the same thing from their CM.

Does anyone know if the Columbus Day Crowds end the Monday of the holiday assuming that local schools are back in session on Tuesday? We're going to the party on Tuesday 13th and I'm hoping the holiday crowd will have dissipated. Also, how bad are crowds at the parks over the Columbus day weekend?

We vistied WDW last October from the 10th through to the 1st November, and found the crowds to be fairly heavy for the first week ie from Columbus day onwards but then went down to walk on from around the 17th.

I'm not sure about the Party nights over this weekend, hopefully someone will post who attended last year during this time but, IMO, I think tuesday will be a whole lot quieter than the few days prior.

I'm so excited. :yay: I just ordered our tickets and they should be here by June 6. This will be my first time at Disney World and my first Halloween Party. I'm really looking forward to it.

OK, I'm getting my MNSSHP threads mixed up...has this one mentioned where Snow White and the Seven Dwarves MnG is? If so or not, anyone care to tell? :)

I figure this is the best place to throw in my questions :)

We'll be at Disney 9/24-10-1. We're on an 8 Hopper w/ Water Parks & More added with Deluxe Dining and plan on doing Characters in Flight & mini golf as well. So we'll stay pretty busy while there. DBoyfriend will also be playing golf several times while I take tours. Needless to say, we'll stay busy.

I read somewhere that Hallowishes may be shown in lieu of Wishes on non-MNSSHP nights as "trial runs". If this is true, and we don't go, we're only missing the parade and villian meet and greets, right?

So my real question is, is it worth it to pay for the ticket and stay up later in the evening? Also, if we decide at the last minute to go to MNSSHP, will tickets likely still be available? Lastly, how far in advance do you need to book in order to guarantee tickets?

Thanks in advance!

I too will be attending this year for the first (and second!) time ever. This photo op is one of the reasons I HAD to go! I have heard that it is in Fantasyland over across from the Teacups near the entrance to Toontown. I hear they come out every half hour or so and that the line stays really long all night.

I'm plotting my daughter's gown already, and am trying to decide between the evil Snow Queen or a Snow White in rags for myself. I'm a little concerned about how hot the Snow Queen will be for 9/20 or 10/1!

I know! It's going to be icky hot, I hear. I may just make DNiece a Snow White tutu. I'm wearing my Snow White tribute outfit (in my avatar), probably, due to the heat. I'd love to go all out, but I might end up passing out instead if it's really that hot. :lmao: I do have a couple cute modified, warm-weather prince costumes in the works, though.

So which night are you going??? I know it's going to be hot, but I still might drag along an evil queen costume and just put it on for the photo op!

My daughter had 2 Snow Whites for our December trip last year, but the gown will be too short. Darn, I'll just have to make a new one! :goodvibes

I might drag along the Snow White rags costume for her to wear on our second night, or I might do an adult version for myself......

I'm thinking the 29th will be less crowded than Oct. 1st, but those are our options.

How tall is your daughter...just in case you want to get rid of that Snow White gown. ;)

I would think the rags would be quite a bit cooler. I love the different costumes. My niece was Ping one year for Halloween. I was thinking about a blue Aurora dress, or even half and half.

Well, I actually planned on selling Snow White on Ebay before our trip, so PM me if you want info.

Funny you should mention half and half Aurora. I've been dying to do one of those for a long time. I think it would be SO fun!

What a fabulous thread! DF and I will be in WDW in September for my bday! I've never been to MNSSHP and there's one on my bday. Hopefully, I can convince him to take me (as my bday gift)!

Welcome to the DIS!!! I hope you have a wonderful trip. We'll be there the same time. It will be my first Halloween Party as well.

Just subbing in this is a great thread, going for the first time this year!

8. Is it worth trick or treating if you are a solo adult?I didn't trick or treat as an adult, but I was there on the night before Halloween so the candy lines were mobbed with long lines, however being there on a weeknight in Sept. the lines should be fine so I recommend it. You're at Disney to be a kid again. What's more kid again than trick or treating?

:woohoo::yay:Yippee! We are 2 over 40 year olds with no kids that are ready to go trick or treating again!:cool1:

I got our tickets in the mail today for MNSSHP. It took less than a week. I wasn't expecting them until late next week.

Yay!!! I can't wait for September.:cheer2:

What a great thread. I got all my questioned answered qithout even asking a question. LOL
Thanks

Hello. A really informative thread. We went to MNSSHP last year in early October on a Tuesday night. Does anyone have any experience as to whether a Friday night in September is more crowded than a week night in October?
