Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Questions

Wow! This is an exciting thread! I am going in September, and I am excited to see all that candy (most of which I don't know, which makes it even more exciting!)

Is there much Hershey's chocolate? Cause I hate the stuff, you can't even give it away in the UK!

That's the truth! I date a guy from London for 3 years & got hooked on Mars bars & Celebrations & such. On a cruise recently, in Cozumel they had a duty free store that had a box of Celebrations. My friends thought I was crazy for going nuts over & immediately purchasing it!

Needless to say, I won't buy hersheys again!

We are going to the MNSSHP on Oct. 27 and are planning on dressing up as Peter Pan, Wendy Darling, Captian Hook, and Tinkerbell. Can't wait till Oct!:yay:

Just bought 4 adults and 1 child for Nov 1 today.

I am an American and I can't stand the stuff. It seems like it's partly made of wax or something... I am glad they were handing out Ghirardelli chocoaltes at the end, that stuff is good.

I am hoping to do the party during my trip. My question is, if I get an ADR for a late lunch (say 3:30) somewhere in the MK, do I have to go back and re enter after 4 pm with my ticket, or just have the ticket handy in case a cm asks to see it later on? I have park hoppers for the whole week so I'm not worried about it using a day on my tickets.

You don't have to re-enter. They can scan the tickets when you go to get the wristbands.

I am heading to WDW at the end of September for a solo trip and plan on attending MNSSHP for the first time and have some questions.

1. Is the party less crowded during the week (say on a Tuesday or Thursday) than it is on a Friday night?
During the week is by far better as some nights its empty but get their early because you will get on ALL the rides you want with no crowds............

2. Is it better to get a ticket on May 1st or can I wait a little while to purchase?
For weekdays you can wait but for weekends it does sell out....

3. Are there alot of characters available for meet & greets? Where are most of the characters stationed?
Tons of characters.....around Pooh...around the castle sometimes you may even see a villian your not used to seeing...........

4. Should I plan to book an early ADR inside the park on the day of a party?
We usually do..........

5. Is this party worth doing twice in one trip?
Yes!
6. Where is the best place to view the parade & fireworks?
We always stand right at the barber shop....never a crowd..........

7. Are there alot of rare characters out for meet & greet?
Sometimes....sometimes we have gotten the 7 dwarfs.....the Queen and Malificent who both used to come out regular....

8. Is it worth trick or treating if you are a solo adult?

Sure if you like candy.......but again likeeverything else they have cut back on what they give.........

Can someone let me know the following:

1. If they close the magic kingdom down during this time making you buy another ticket if you want to get in? If they do, what time would the park close?

We will be going in Sept.

Yes, you do need a party ticket to attend the party. You cannot get in with a regular park ticket. It's an 'after hours' event.

The park closes at 7:00p to day guests.

And they close at 7pm just on the nights listed in Sept for the party? Otherwise they are open normally?

Correct... when you look at the hours on Disney .com you can always tell party nights because the park hours show it closing at 7pm.

Just a little something to get you in the mood :)

So during the day (on days when there is a party) is the traffic busier or lighter??? It would seem to me that it would be lighter since people would not be seeing Spectro or Wishes and have to leave early....

Any feedback????

For the most part, it would be lighter crowds on the days there is a party at night.

VERY cool! The Haunted Mansion is one of the reasons we decided to head East for the Halloween Party. We love Disneyland, but they do their Halloween party at DCA. No haunted mansion, no Frontierland for the headless horseman to ride through.... No castle for the Villains Stage Show.....It's just not right.......

On our last day, last year we spent the majority of the time in MK and it was really quiet. I got talking to a CM in one of the gift shops and she said that the majority of party night days are exceptionaly quiet, until about 4pm when it starts to pick with MNSSHP guest with ADR's etc.

This year I am planning our MK days around the Party nights so we get to walk on and off the rides :thumbsup2

Well, maybe I won't worry as much about going on an AM EMH day since it's also a party.... We'll be there from rope drop til midnight that day. A long day yes, but we did it twice in December with the Christmas party. As long as we have a stroller for my daughter to get off her feet as needed, we'll be fine.....
