Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party~~October 31

I am afraid that the only "green" I'll be recognizably wearing is on my face (see avatar). But I'll be looking for other DISers wearing the traditional green ribbon. WHOOPEE - it's almost time!!!!

I'm looking for comfort and ease of packing. We fly in that day so my little one will be tired enough w/o a big uncomfortable costume on top of it all.. We are all going as hippies. Tie dye shirts, old jeans, flowers in the hair etc. Look for us and say HI!! I'm going to try and remember names on this thread!! hehehe

we can't wait, first halloween party and first time at cbr. I am going as Glenda the "good witch", and my husband is going as the scarecrow. If there is any dorothy's or lion, or tinman maybe we could meet up for some great pics!

Ok, I'm writing this in my daytimer - "Make an appearance at LTT in costume at 1945 and say hello to DISers." I'll have to rely upon you to recognize me (see avatar). Otherwise, I'll just be milling about casting evil spells .

I need to post a new thread about the costume policy that I heard about - to dis"spell" the nasty rumor that was being spread about a week ago.

Anyhow, I look forward to seeing you - if your plans change please let me know.

Finally decided

My DD(8) is going as Elizabeth Swann(from Pirates of the Caribbean. My DH and I are wearing our Mickey's pirate shirts we have purchased on previous visit, wear Pirate accessory.

FINALLY!! All of our countdown clocks are finally ticking down!!! Some are lower than others, but for all of us going 10/31-- we are ALMOST THERE!!!!

I can't wait to go already. I couldn't sleep last night and was thinking about my trip. It felt like I was leaving today. LOL My friend (ctgirluvsmickey)and I will be at Chef Mickey's before MNSSHP. If anyone else will be there or wants to meet up in the park, let's pick a spot to meet.

Candleonwater--- my countdown clock is just a hair off. When I put it in my signature almost 200 days ago I thought our flight would be at a different time. But it's really close. We leave on 10/30 at 7:25 a.m.!! So, I actually have something like 90 minutes less than what my countdown clock says I think!


I can't wait either!! The insomnia is really starting to kick in this weekend. I can't sleep at night stressing about the trip (we have 12 people going and I'm worried about everyone getting along). I'm constantly going through my mental packing list. THen all the things I need to do at work and home before we go. And all the errands to run. I'm hoping the fact that I'm pretty busy between now and then will make time fly!!

How many people have started packing??? I'm waiting until Sunday and Tuesday of next week. But I really want to start now!!!

I'm glad you folks have time to anticipate! I have report cards due Friday. My in-laws are coming to see Ohio State play here on Friday for the weekend, including some other folks (ten in my house Fri.-Sun.). Then, Monday and Tuesday I have parent/teacher conferences both evenings. On Tuesday, DH and family will be in the car at 7:30 p.m. after my last conference waiting in the parking lot!!! Off we go!

Somewhere in there I need to pack myself and THREE KIDS!

Im packing!! Im leaving on an early flight Sat morn. I have PS seating for Sat night at CM.

My Maleficent costume is huge..I got it from the Disney Store cataloge. The head piece is enourmous. I hope its not too hot on Halloween night, Ill be roasting under that costume. My son is Experiement Stitch. I have PS at LTT on Halloween night, 7:45. Ill be wearing my DIS button on my costume,,come and say hello!!

Yours is NOT the only countdown that's messed up. My dad decided we should leave earlier, so now we arrive on the 29th! Since we are driving - we leave on the 28th but I haven't figured out how to change my countdown, so I'm just leaving it as is.

As for packing - I have Post-it notes ALL over the house, so as not to forget. I can't wait to see my "sister" Maleficent's - everyone's costume sounds terrific! I have a BIG post-it by my voice changer mike with extra batteries - just to be ever-so-much-more evil .

I'll try and stop by Chef Mickey's on my way to the monorail - just to say hi.

Way back eons ago - when Disney changed the PS policy - I was reading with horror your experience with making the ressie's. I was also on hold forever that morning, however was ultimately able to make my PS's for CRT. Hope your trip is fabulous and that your PS's were worth the hassle they put you through. The really bad Disney soundtrack that I heard for an hour still is in my head.

The horror of the phone bill is in my head!

I'm actually in shock right now... so little time, SO MUCH TO DO! and on top of it all, I'm going out of town this weekend... and Disney on Ice tomorrow, etc... no spare time! Maybe I should just throw my shower bag in a backpack, and buy clothing down there!

Erika - since you are a fellow-Virginian, I know of a way you can get free long distance - legally. I signed up for the Verizon freedom package - I'm saying for my voicemail and caller ID but have unlimited long distance. You may want to check into that.

Remember - IASW after all, and will seem even smaller once we all meet each other.

I CAN't WAIT - and as for packing. Go to the outlet and buy what you need. I just want to make sure I bring the good stuff - costume, traveler's checks, credit cards, H'ween tix, ya know - the basics.

Don't freak out too much - it will all work out....for all of us. Next week - the FUN BEGINS!!!
