My g/f and I are visiting at the end of September. I am just wondering about your feedback on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Is that something we would enjoy? (Mid 20's)

Thanks!

I love it! I attended a party (solo) in 2006 when I was 27 and then again last year (with friends) at 29. I'm planning my next WDW trip for Oct 2010 because I want to go to another MNSSHP and I also want to attend the F&W festival.

There are lots of childless adults there both in costume and not in costume. In my opinion, the Hallowishes fireworks and the Boo To You Parade are the best Disney fireworks and parade out of all of them. The headless horseman starts the parade. Those two things alone are worth the admission price. Plus, if you like the characters, there's a special Villains Meet & Greet and (I believe) it is the only time of the year you can have your picture taken with Snow White and all seven dwarfs at the same time.

They have fog machines out around the Haunted Mansion and the front of the park for atmosphere. There is currently a thread on the Theme Parks board titled 'MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know...' that you can check out for more info.

I say go! It's a lot of fun.

:cool1: MNSSHP is awesome. DH and I are probably older than you (Me 40 and DH 45). We go every time we can and usually twice when we take an Oct trip. This is our first Oct trip in 4 years and we are going 10/29 and 10/31. No children adn probably no costumes, too. The parade and Hallow-wishes are the best....actually better than MVMCP. It really is festive and they do a good job of putting you in the "spirit" of the season....mawhahahaha (insert evil laugh here:))

I think you'll love it!! The parade is great and the people watching is fantastic!! I think there were as many adults in costume as there were kids!! Actually, I missed the fireworks :sad1: because the kids were so busy trick or treating (so, to me, that's one benefit of not being with little ones - more time for fireworks!!)

Anyway, it's loads of fun! Go for it!! :woohoo: (And watch out for the Headless Horseman!!)

My husband & I went in Oct 08 to Mickeys not so scary party at Disneyland & if you like Halloween you will have a great time. We had a blast!!! Best way to end our trip to California!!!

me and my dh, mid 20's, went 2 years ago and had a blast! We dressed up as pirates! You gotta dress up, that makes it way more fun. Tons of adults dressed up too, i saw some REALLY good costumes! The trick or treating was fun, i hope they have more stops this year. Some would give out barely anything while others gave a whole handful. It was fun being there on my bday b/c they were giving me extra b/c it was my bday. We got about 10 full sized bags of Kissables. They were handing them out by Pirates of the Caribbean, the guy gave me handfuls, and again at the exit.

The parade was awesome and so were the fireworks. They do such a great job decorating too! lt was totally worth it. I just wish it was open later than midnight!

My b/f and I went to MNSSHP in 9/07. It was a blast. Disney's HalloWishes are my favorite fireworks. It's something for little and big kids alike.

My husband and I (26 and 27) have gone to MNSHP two years in a row. The first year was for our honeymoon and we had a blast!

We didn't dress up, but we bought Halloween theme hats (one year they were huge bats and we laughed so hard).

I def. would say go! Plus, who can resist trick-or-treating through the park!

<-------- Those were last year's MNSSHP hats!

I guess I will chime in with a different opinion. I went in 2006 with a group of friends. I absolutely loved the parade but the rest of the event was boring imo. It was incredibly crowded the night we were there. The lines for the candy were insane, no way would I wait in a line like that for a piece of candy. I would love to see the parade again but I wouldn't pay the price for the ticket just for the parade. If I had children I guess it would be a different story but as an adult it just didn't have any appeal to me except for the parade.

I was 33 at the time I went, and I love Halloween. We will be there again this year during the time period and we are all returning to Halloween Horror Nights but no one wanted to do MNSSHP again, we were all in agreement that it was not worth it.
