Hello everyone! I just wanted to get your opinions on this: which time of year is it best to visit Disney Word - Halloween or Christmas? I'm planning vacation for later in the year, and I'm really torn as to when to go! Any input would be greatly appreciated!![]()

1. What exactly is MNSSHP? WHat are the dates in October, 2004 for this event? It's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the MK. There is trick or treating, special parades and fireworks, and most of the attractions are open. Go to www.allearsnet.com and Deb has the link on her front page
2. How do u get tickets? Do u have to be a disney-hotel guest?
When do they go on sale for Oct, 2004? How much? Call 407-WDisney and order them with a credit card. No, you do not have to be a Disney hotel guest. They are on sale now!
3. Can I purchase tickets when i get there @ the TTC? Maybe- depends what night you want to go- Halloween nights and the nights right before it typically sell out before hand
4. If this in in the Magic Kingdom, and the MK closes early usually in October, does this MNSSHP mean that it will be held AFTER MK CLOSES?? Yes, it is held from 7-midnight and the park closes to the general public at 6
5. Do you ALSO NEED to use a full-day from your Hopper Pass to get into the MNSSHP?? or do u just need to buy the MNSSHP tickets? No, you do not need to use a full day park hopper...your MNSSHP ticket gets you in starting at I believe 4 or 5 PM
Thx

That's a TOUGH one! I love both and have been to both the MNSSHP and MVMCP. I would only do an early to mid-Dec. trip - not too close to Christmas if at all possible. As for MNSSHP - I'd avoid any night that's within a few nights or the actual night of Halloween.
If having a little more time to save money would be helpful to you, I'd go to MVMCP this year and then maybe go to MNSSHP nexttime. If you don't need to save, and you must pick one, ask yourself which is your favorite holiday?
There is SO much to see all around Disney World (resorts, other parks, etc.) in December. The decor is WONDERFUL! MNSSHP, on the other hand, is FABULOUS, but limited to the MK and only if you have the ticket. There are a few Halloween decorations that are left up during the entire month, but most of them "appear" (like magic) for the party.
