My husband and I are taking our 4 year old son to WDW for his very first visit in mid-September. We are taking a Disney cruise before so we will only have 3 days (Friday-Sunday) in the WDW Parks. We are big Halloween fans but my son doesn't do so well after 9:30 pm. With only 3 days in the park is the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party worth it? In your opinion, if the extra ticket price is worth it, is it best to go Friday, Sat,. or Sunday? If the extra ticket is not worth it, what happens to the guests who do not purchase the extra tickets? Does the park close early? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. We are really looking forward to our WDW adventure.

If you don't have a party ticket on a day of the party the park will close at 7p. Weekdays are generally less crowded for parties.

The value would be up to you, but is think the party is worth it. Could you take a nap midday to last longer into the evening?

Thank you for your response. We will try to get him to take a nap but I know he is going to be so excited he may not take a nap. When at home he does not nap normally. I'm still on the fence about the ticket. We would already have a pirate costume for him because we are taking one for the pirate party on the cruise. It would just be a matter of him staying up to partake in the festivities. Thank you.

Same predicament last year for us. My daughter was 4 as well. We did go to the Halloween party. The problem was for us that it was very crowded early on. The first parade was very crowded and the trick-or-treat lines (I really did not care ti do them but we ran into a friend that wanted to take their kids for the candy) Very crowded.

My daughter could not stay up very late so we were leaving the park just when the second parade started. This parade was not crowded at all. We were practically alone when the headless horseman rode by up near the entrance but we really had to go.

In my opinion the entire experience was just not worth it. You will find many people that will argue with that and find the exact opposite, so it really is an individual thing. We will not do it again. Every day near halloween the park is decorated beautiful, so you will still get that ambiance on a normal day.

The parade was nice to see but it was so crowded we were unable to see most of it. We did not have a good spot because the person we ran into had me change my plan and do the candy thing and I was unable to get the spot I wanted and had researched to be good for viewing.

That is just our experience. I love all things Halloween too so I really wanted to Love this. :artist:::yes:::moped: :mic:Daughter chose these stamps. May not make sense :goodvibes
