Hi there -- I am hoping someone can help me out. We will be visiting Sept 19-26 and I am trying to figure out if there will be a trick or treat event occurring then. I looked on mousesavers and found info about MNSSH at the Magic Kingdom but nothing about Disneyland. Does anyone know when they will have the event at Disneyland?
Thanks!

Sadly, you'll miss it by less than week. The first TOT party is scheduled for Oct. 2.

I stumbled onto this board trying to find info about an Annual Passholder Party for this year. I didnt realize there was a forum just for Disney fans and trip planning! So cool!

Anywho to answer your question about Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party.
The Disneyland Resort's Halloween party — Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party — is back for 2009 but I believe it starts in October (Oct 2nd) and ticket prices start at $39 (2 and under are free) I hope that helps.

Oh YAY!!! I thought we'd miss it as we leave on the 3rd. When will be be able to book tickets and how?

Tickets will be released for purchase by AP holders on May 15th. (The info. is on the AP section of the Disneyland website). Sales to the general public usually start around August 1st. The exact date hasn't been announced yet. :)

Here is the information that is on Disneyland's website (in the Annual Passholder section). :)

When the tickets are released to the general public, it looks like they will be $32 if purchased ahead of time and $39 only if purchased on the day of the event. (They always have 2 purchase prices). October 30 and 31 will be $42 no matter when they are purchased. They will be available ahead of time for purchase, but no discount for doing this.( The wording for the 30th and 31st is very confusing, but this has been verified and tickets for these days can be purchased ahead of time). :)

Thank you for that info. I'm so excited we will get to go!
Oh do you have to have tickets for the adults of the party too?

Adults will have to have tickets too, everyone who wishes to attend the event will have to have a ticket. :)

I have a ? regarding this as well :) Would it be beneficial to us to buy 1 AP now to get the advance purchase for this(we were planning on buying them anyway)? As we will only be there for 1 day that the party is?

I don't know if this will work, you have to have an active AP to get them during the advance sale time.

What about children ages 2 and under? I know it says there is no charge for them, but do you still have to reserve a ticket?

No, they are no charge so you don't have to have a ticket for children under 3. :)

We went to our first ever MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom last year and LOVED it! Are all the rides open during the event at Disneyland?

Thanks for the info everyone. We have decided that I will take the two little people to the party and DH will spend the time with DS15 riding the big rides. Everyone's happy!

Most of the rides were open when we went in 07, there were just a few that were closed, Golden Zephyr comes to mind.....but that thing hasn't been opened in forever.

The party is not held at Disneyland; it's held at California Adventure. As far as I can recall, most of the rides are open except for the Grizzly River Run. You wouldn't want to get wet at night and in your costume anyway. The ride lines tend to be shorter as people are participating in the Halloween activities, like trick-or-treating and dance parties. In the past, the boardwalk games have been free, but you get candy instead of the usual prizes. We have APs and go every year. It's a really fun time!
