Hey! My mom and I are headed down to Disney for my 30th birthday NEXT WEEK! So excited. There is a Mickey's not so scary on Oct. 30th. Is it work the $60+ price tag for us to go? I'm interested though i'm not sure how crowded it will be and if there's enough for 2 adults to do. My birthday is Nov. 1st and I definitely want to make the most of this trip!

We just went this past Tuesday. I really enjoyed the party. The lines for the rides were really short. If you like dressing up and seeing how everyone else is dressed up, I think it was worth the trip.

I went alone last year and I think this party is among the best work that WDW does! I need to add that I am biased cause i am from Australia and we don't do halloween, so the whole thing is new to me.
The parade is fantastic, they have the ghostly photo opportunities, free candy, queues are short. The staff all get into the act and about 1/3 of the guests are in fancy dress (I was too) - just looking at the guest costumes was a real hoot! Although there were an awful lot of princesses, and piratey / jack sparrows :rolleyes1
And the fireworks were a different show - but for me they are just fireworks
they also have dance parties for the littlies - of course I didn't hang out at those
I don't know how to value the party - If you can pay $60, you'll have a good time and a different experience to normal.

:cool1: We are leavinf this Friday for a week. Our party dates are 10/28 and 10/31. Love the party and this year DH and I are going with his Mom and Brother--all 43 and over in ages!! Mom is 70.

thanks! I think I'm going to get a ticket for the 30th (really the only day we could go since Halloween is reserved for IOA and I hope to be there almost all day, and I'm not sure what our plans are just yet for the 2nd). Waiting to see if my mother wants to go. If not, well, I'll go by myself I guess! My other question is, if we start our day at MK on the 30th (my original plan) do I show my ticket to MNSSHP at whatever am I get there (rope drop hopefully) to get my wristband or do I have to wait until after 4?

I would definitely pay the money to go, it's a good time! I can't remember if we showed our ticket early or late, either way you should be fine. Dress up and have fun, MK is awesome at Halloween. The castle looks amazing and there's just a great buzz in the air! Have fun!

We are going for the first time on Friday. My fiance and I are super excited! We have our costumes ready to go and are really looking forward to seeing the decorations and the villians. :)

I suspect they will only bring the wristband distributing people out at around 4pm. I went at 4pm and they had bunches of band distributors waiting at the entry gates and they tagged everyone, which really slowed down park entry and created a big traffic jam just before the tunnels.
If you are already in the park, i believe they have people scattered inside the park. Perhaps the entry people or guest services can tell you where these ones will be. Cause you don't want to have to go back to the bedlam at the front entrance at 4pm :sad2:

Thanks! I hope I don't have to go back up front. I have my ticket at will call so I'll ask when I pick it up. I didn't trust myself to remember to print my ticket and bring it with me. I printed a ticket for something else a few years ago and left it at home! Wasted 30 dollars :(

DH and I went to it in September and had a great time.

I couldn't convince him to dress up in full costume but we did do Halloween shirts and I had my Halloween Mickey Ears.

It was full to run around and collect candy, ride the rides and of course I LOVED watching the Halloween Parade. The grave diggers are my favorite!
