Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade at AK...

where's the best place to stake out for the parade? Also how great is the AK opening? We've been to AK once before, but had to fly home that day so we left early.

but rumor has it that a good spot is along the walkway before the safari. The trick is to get there AFTER the parade has gone by and catch the return trip! Gonna try this in Aug!!

That is a very good tip! Also, I don't know how early this spot fills up, but in Asia- right around the theater where the bird show is (but across the street) there are two areas with chairs that are completely in the shade. I always think that would be the perfect spot. Sit on a chair in the shade, and have a great view too!

Or, if you want an almost private viewing, try grabbing a spot in that quiet area between Asia and Africa (we call it Bradley Falls) where the waterfalls are. Nobody ever stands there- I don't think they know they can...? It's a great place to have the parade all to yourself.

We took the advice on out last trip about catching the return of the parade after everyone else leaves. It worked out really well until it started to rain. We say the whole parade but it went quite quickly as it was pouring. Still I loved this tip and plan to take advantage of this information on my trip in two weeks.
